I applied online & they emailed me within a week to schedule my interview for whatever days they had available. Interview took about an hour , I had two interviews. One with a team leader & another with another employee whose position I forgot (higher than my 1st interviewer). The questions were the basics, “tell me about yourself”, “why target?”, & the rest of the questions were basically my interviewer giving me scenarios & me explaining my experience with that Type of situation. For the second interview, my interviewer gave me an insight about their store, then proceeded to ask “ so why target” & she loved my response, so next we went on a store tour. She gave me scenarios at each location we stopped at & I had to answer with a time I’ve experienced that situation, also she asked me questions about how I would handle customers when it comes down to offering them a red card. Just be yourself, get comfortable & you’ll be sure to get the job!

Tell me about yourself, why do you want to work here, describe a time I exceeded expectations, a major change to my daily routine and how I dealt with it, a time I worked in a team, a time I disagreed with a coworker, and how many days in a year I think is acceptable for an employee to call out.

I had two interviews. Both were one-one-one, and between 15-20 minutes each. After the second I was told there would be a third, but after about ten minutes my second interviewer came back in and told me I could go over to HR, and they were going to offer me the position right then.

I was hired on the spot, I knew I had the job when they wanted to do a 2nd interview.

Answered

For a team leader position, I was asked typical STAR questions. One was: "Tell me about a time you influenced someone's opinion"
