Things are changing at Taro
Business Systems Analyst - Logistics (Current Employee) –  Hawthorne, NYJune 10, 2017
Things are changing at Taro but as of today:
Management up to the Executive Director of the IT Dept. have been fair, guiding and helpful.
Accommodating when personal issues arise.
10.5 hour time difference to counterparts in India can be inconvenient.
Pros
HR staff is cognizant of the fast environment and responds positively when it can, My experience with my managers has been very positive.
Cons
I have not encountered any "cons" of consequence or worth mentioning. People are friendly enough, work is difficult but rewarding.

There was a bunker mentality of the reps. We feared for our jobs on a daily basis
Professional Medical Representative (Former Employee) –  Cincinnati, OHApril 13, 2017
The upper management, who influenced the district managers made this job a living nightmare. The reps were paranoid about everything they said and did. the managers tried to trip us up at every turn. We were in constant fear for our jobs. Contests were started, then dropped because of unrealistic goals that were set. The best thing about the job was the customer. It has been a few years since I left, and I hope this atmosphere has changed.

future product pipeline is minimal
culture is profoundly different from past years due to new management
Reps do not have access to make any decisions or changes due based on company guidelines or lack of home office support roles
product samples are not provided often and no new clinical information on old products but unrealistic goals in place

I enjoyed working at Taro pharmaceuticals. They provide training in Excel, Word and Power Point. they offer CPR and life saving classes. They try to keep their employee's "fit" by offering walking programs, yoga and weight watchers.
Pros
provides class to continue education

Good company
Accounts Receivable Deduction Analyst (Former Employee) –  Hawthorne, NYAugust 20, 2012
Good company to work for. I learned a lot about the Pharmaceutical business in the year and a half I spent there. Co-workers were friendly for the most part. My department didn't seem to function as a team; it seemed to be divided and that is not a good situation. There was a lot of data to keep on top of. There could have been better training in my department to better prepare someone for the different situations that would arise regularly.
Pros
for me, location, friendly co-workers
Cons
politics, department didn't seem to function like a team, formal training would better prepare new hires.
