Family owned - work hard and do right by them and they will treat you like family
Receptionist (Former Employee) – Glen Ellyn, IL – June 29, 2017
This was the best job I have ever had. I was very sad to leave Tavoos and am still searching for a job that challenges me in the same way Tavoos challenged me. I learned a lot about myself while working here. The owner and skincare specialist taught me a lot about a higher level of customer service than I was used to with my cashier background. She has a great passion for her work and her business and, as a result, she has a high standard for how her business should be run. She also allowed me to take on more responsibility in the business as time went on. It was nice to feel like I could contribute to a family-owned business I believed in. There were rough days, especially weekends and Tuesdays and Thursdays. On these days, the owner sees most of her clients so things can get a little hectic in the lobby. However, there is definitely a sense of working as a team at Tavoos. Although most of my time at Tavoos was spent working independently, I always enjoyed my time spent with my co-workers, several of which still work at Tavoos. I have a lot more to say about this place, but to wrap it up I'll say that if you don't enjoy working for a faceless corporation and instead want to see how your work benefits some truly good people, then Tavoos might be the place for you. Also, the halotherapy tradition is very interesting and the owner is very knowledgeable about it which makes for some fascinating conversations.
Lovely family, work independently, interesting work environment, help out a family owned business, free halotherapy sessions, service and product discounts, and free cookies
Can be hard to get breaks in during fast paced weekend shifts
