A great company to work for. Very fair. The permanent members are gladly tho help new employees out anytime they need. Managers are the best. Can't say enough on this company.

Good environment, most of the people are there to help you. Pay isn't the best but its ok for a part time job. Staff is cool. No benefits unless full time i believe.

This position included phones, chat and email. Management was a beast and they couldn't determine if they wanted you to spend more or less time helping customer. Their seasonal supervisors were jerks, especially those who had been repeat seasonal employees.

The hours were fair, wanted to work more but they didn't want to pay me for the overtime. Management was always helpful when you needed help insinuations that you were unfamiliar with.

I worked there from October till February when I got a full-time job somewhere else. Training was fun and all the full time staff you work with are very friendly. Probably the most positive atmosphere I worked in. Only cons are lack of parking so you had to park across the street and walk across a four lane road that people don't want to stop at cross walk. Management also needed to dicipline people who didn't work or failed to show up on a consistent basis. I think one employee showed up one day a week during the busy time in January. She was still on the schedule when I left. Other than that it was a good place to work and gain some customer service skills.

This company has an issue with favoritism and it is because it is privately owned by a family - so as long as the family is loyal to you, you can treat people however you want and your mistreatment of them becomes their problem.

It would be nice if they would get rid of some of the people that are stress causers that are rude, nasty and often make horrible comments about others as if it is normal to speak like that.

This behavior causes such a horrible work environment of which you don't know who you can go to and who you cannot go to for fear of accidentally "overstepping your job".

The company has great perks if you can deal with the horrible work environment.

Long hours with weekend work expected year-round; compensation is good but always comes with a catch. The company also expects full participation with company events 'off-the-clock' making it extremely demanding - almost 'cult-like' culture.

Hours of work depended on call volume. Pay was set for bi-weekly. The support of other employees was great. Job was seasonal. Overtime was optional during high volume.

The team there is amazing and was hands down my favorite work experience however the clients can be under-educated in terms of knowledge of their tools so majority of the job is education of the clients. It is also a nonstop ride during tax season constantly moving from one thing to the next and even having to juggle multiple situations at a time.

Although, Taxslayer was a seasonal position I still enjoyed it. It's a great environment and you are constantly learning to be able to assist your customers better. If you score a 90% or higher on your quality monitoring then they give out certificates. They also give out gift cards and candy based on your work. On the last day of tax season, they pass out numbers and draw a number every hour. If your number is picked then you can win a prize.

I didn't have any issues with working at TaxSlayer at all. The management was friendly and always worked with us with whatever we needed. It was however a seasonal job, so security wasn't expected.

Awesome people to work with. Provided great assistance with learning software. They want what every employer wants: Great customer service, be to work on time and always give your best. They will show appreciation to employees who give their best. Although I was seasonal; they made me feel like I had been there for years.

This is a terrible place to work. If you are not part of the family or elite management group, you will not feel like you belong. IT management is the worse and developers are not well respected. Terrible name, terrible company. They talk like your one big happy family, but it is just a charade. Not surprising to see more jobs posted for developers.

TaxSlayer is only a seasonal position which is the only downside. However it is a wonderful company to work for and consist of great people. The work atmosphere is pleasant and they do everything to make sure that you are trained and assisted when needed. The parking and customers who just can't be satisfied would probably be the only bad side to the job. They are flexible with your schedule and makes sure company needs are met as well as personal. On another note they do consider seasonal for full time positions but it's dependent on the company needs and the person's work ethic.

I really love working for Taxslayer, it is one of the best places i have worked, in my entire career. The job itself is not difficult, and the people that you work with are outstanding. Unfortunately, it is a tax company, and so the job was seasonal, but nothing bad to say about Taxslayer at all...
