Lead Recruiter (Former Employee) –  Dallas, TXJanuary 5, 2018
poor management, constantly texting you on your PERSONAL cell phone. They will say they need your personal cell phone for emergencies but it was for management to have you on call 24-7 WITHOUT over time pay.
Cons
No OT paid for the hours you actually worked.

On-Site Supervisor (Current Employee) –  Lewisville, TXOctober 19, 2017
Supervisors are underpaid and it is a family ran business. They are falling apart, management and staff are clueless and unorganized most of the time.

Side loader (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXAugust 22, 2017
Being that Taylor and Smith consultant are a temp to hire agency, they do well in outfitting a person with a job contracted with Waste Management. However, the hard part is being able to actually get on truck for there are sometimes more people than needed. So there is a possibility that you could drive there only to be sent back home.
Pros
if you get a truck work is steady
Cons
if you aren't able to work under all weather conditions and deal with people, then you'd just be driving or riding the bus for no reason

Administrator (Current Employee) –  Houston, TXJuly 1, 2017
There is some room for growth, compensation and benefits need to improve if they want to keep good talent and reduce turnover rate. Overall this is a decent company to begin your career and gain experience, however this cannot be a longterm option for most.

On-Site Manager (Former Employee) –  Temple, TXDecember 2, 2016
Taylor Smith is a good company to work for. There is a lot of time to do what you need to do. The problem is working along side Waste Management. You are expected to follow all their rules and regulations even though you are never given proper training on them. Taylor Smith allows you to be flexible with your rules as a manager to best help your employees. Waste Management will blame you and your workers for everything that goes wrong and will take no responsibility. You will be expected to maintain a staff to cover multiple routes with a different number of workers needed each day. Workers numbers range from 7 to 15 on any given day. Workers are expected to be ok with only working 2 days a week and still come in every day. It is a hassle to work for two companies with no clear direction. The regional supervisor is awsome to work for. She is a huge help if you ever need anything.
Pros
Time in the middle of the day to handle personal things
Cons
Working for two different companies, low wages

Operations Assistant (Current Employee) –  Temple, TXOctober 17, 2016
I have obtained the skills to work in a warehouse or around heavy equipment, also met the advanced level of Safety Procedures.

I am qualified for rotating or full-time shifts day or night.

My co-workers consider me one of the hardest working employees on their department of work.

I have no sick days and have rarely been late.
Pros
Speed, Quality, Hardworking
