Mobile Sales Consultant/Lead Operations (Former Employee) - Cut Off, LA - December 6, 2021
Featured review
TCC Verizon Authorized Retailer selected this as a representative reviewI enjoyed working for TCC and was truly heartbroken when I had to depart from the company. I've worked at other Verizon retailers and none are as organized, fair or thorough as TCC. Commission payout is great AND attainable, management of all levels are very supportive and considerate. So many different ways to reach goals, point of sale/activation systems are easy to operate. Simple trainings.
Pros
great pay, great bonuses, easy trainings, great management
Cons

Life changing
Sales Consultant (Current Employee) - Ontario, OR - September 23, 2023
This job changed my life. I was able to pay off debt, buy a home, buy multiple cars, gain experience to carry on to other jobs, understand profit margins, how to talk to people, how to de-escalate situations, and many more. In the cellphone sales world TCC takes the cake over all other companies.
Pros
Uncapped commissions, busy locations will pay high
Cons
Training can be lacking, can be slow, management controls the environment.

The company is great and has uncapped commission plus monthly bonus opportunities. We have calls to encourage us to meet metric requirements. All in all a friendly environment.

Productive
Team Member (Current Employee) - Metro Detroit - September 18, 2023
Typical day at work would basically be coming in to the store opening the store up everyone is required to be working together to open if there is no work to do u need to make it look like your are busy because anything the cameras are always watching write ups can happen over anything and everything if you are ever even 1 minute late due to traffic accident whatever the case is you can get written up there are no excuses no matter how far you live or how good your sales are. Company is very strict & inconsiderate if you want to make money you need to be a shark because that will be the only way to stay paid. There is no team work culture everyone for themselves. Constantly watch your back because other reps will report any single action either snitch or get snitched on. Compensation looks like 8/hr plus commission. For sales that are performed. There is no such thing as a manager there are districts & district managers. Support is very rare.I have experienced sales being erased & restructured under another representatives name. If you don’t catch things like this on time it will be a lost sale. This job is going to be more like a free for all on the battlefield easy to land the job they’ll hire anybody but not so easy to keep the job. Checks r not stable you will be laboring for free at times. Cleaning vacuuming janatorial work in the bathroom. Company will give u pto that u may not be able to use because it needs to be approved by the DM with stores being always understaffed & employees getting fired & leaving it’ll be hard to enjoy ur vaca. No personal time. 7 days open schedule -
Pros
Decent pay when busy
Cons
Everything

Overall great place to work.
SALES REPRESENTATIVE (Former Employee) - Cut Off, LA - September 18, 2023
I was in sales. Got hourly pay and commission. Had goals to reach. More than enough product training always available. Manager was great. I didn’t like that they got rid of the store manager position because those responsibilities were just passed onto the sales staff with no additional pay to compensate. Retail hours suck in general so that’s no different than anywhere else. Great benefits package. There is room to move up in the company but most people in higher positions stay there so until a position is available, you are stuck. However, it is sales so you can make uncapped commissions. Some sales teams work together and some are very cut throat. Again, that’s to be expected in a commission based structure. My particular store worked as a team for the best interest of the store. Working with the public can be very challenging, however the company does not put up with employees being mistreated or spoken down to by customers.
Pros
Full benefits package, uncapped commission, ample training, great company culture, owner of TCC very involved
Cons
Retail hours, no in store manager daily, disgruntled customers

Relaxed but always changing
Technology Advisor (Former Employee) - Hamden, CT - September 10, 2023
The management structure is solid and they do try to accommodate as best they can. The job itself is very low maintenance. The only issue are the company keeps changing the requirements to get your bonuses, especially around the holidays, and there is no room for growth.

Fun, engaging, commission based job
Technical Advisor (Former Employee) - Warrensburg, MO - September 7, 2023
Overall a decent job if you like commission and metrics. However if you don’t do well in either of those I cannot recommend working there. The annoying thing really is metrics change a lot and it can seem like one month one thing matters and the next it doesn’t.

Resume builder at best
District Manager (Former Employee) - Southern Philadelphia - September 6, 2023
In my 2 years with TCC. I went from a sales rep to store manager(before the eliminated the position) to district manager. As I climbed this ladder, the back door politics became greater. If you had the regional manager’s ear? You were very protected, however if you refused to play the political game and fought to have work/life balance? You were cleaved from the heard quickly. Do not ever use the open door policy(especially with their HR team) as this will become public knowledge quickly and drive a further wedge between you and any other mid-level executives who are part of that “Chosen Crowd”. You are quickly put on an island and made an example of if you speak up about double standards or desire to have that work/life balance. I found that out the hard way and asked for a demotion to moved to an entirely different region. Sadly this followed me which forced me to leave that industry as a whole. So in a matter of 2 years, I went from being a top sales rep in the region even though my store was much smaller and we had to build the client base. To winning the North East Store of the Year as a Store Manager to being a District Manager who pulled out profit and conversion during the pandemic. To demoting myself and out of the business as a whole.
Pros
Discounts on wireless service
Cons
Work/life balance, back door politics and no doscreasio. I. Human Resources

Fun place to act as if you run your own business.
District Manager (Current Employee) - Omaha, NE - September 5, 2023
The hardest part of being a DM is the amount of tasks you have through out the day takes up most of your time, but you are in a commission role. You can't take customers to produce sales as much as you would like.
Pros
EAP program available, groups you can join for support
Cons
District manager pay is rough until you get 4 stores

The pay they5 find a way to pass it down. They also introduced profit sharing during COVID to try and keep people on board.
District Manager (Current Employee) - Conyers, GA - September 4, 2023
Day is normally routine. Opening duties, phone calls, work the floor help foot traffic Management some never take time off and are always in work mode wich means text and calls on dYs off and after hours. S Culture is great just like anywhere find the winners learn from them and stick with them.
Pros
Good pto, profit sharing, open discussion from the field to.upper management
Cons
After hours meetings, text, calls. Very repetitive calls

Low pay low commission
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Olathe, KS - August 30, 2023
No traffic to the store, no help because nobody wants to work in the store because of the pay of $8 plus the low commission rate. When interviewed said it was easy to make 5k , work 15 days straight made $900.

Great Company
District Manager (Current Employee) - Louisiana - August 30, 2023
A job where you get out what you put in. Culture is truly unbelievable where the leadership values the people. Giving back to the communities we service is part of who we are. The hardest part about the job is the ever changing technology that will always be applicable to what we do.

Extremely Fun Place to work
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Granger, IN - August 29, 2023
A professional environment and very friendly. The company taught me skills that I will use for the rest of my sales career. In terms of company values, they give back to the community and get involved.

Laidback, chill, relaxed
Retail Sales Associate (Current Employee) - Souderton, PA - August 18, 2023
Typical day - Laidback, a lot of sitting. Learned - I learned as much as one could about using Omni 2.0 as one could by just watching others use it. Sometimes they would vocally coach me through the steps while I was controlling the mouse. (which for me felt like the best way to learn.) Without having credentials of my own so that I can go through omni’s training videos, makes it a very difficult as well as long & drawn out process. The learning curve could have been cut down to a few weeks but instead, its two months later and I finally feel like I’m getting the hang of things. Omni 2.0 is a comprehensive and complex site to learn. It would have been nice to have my own credentials for all of the time I was left alone in the store (despite being the new guy) so that I could go through the omni videos they offer. By the way I did find the videos using someone else’s credentials but since they already watched them, omni wouldn’t allow me to see them lol. What great trolls! Maybe change that for newcomers learning purposes in the future? User experience in omni is good otherwise. Overall, trying to learn how to work here at Tcc Verizon in Souderton has been very messy and all over the place. Wouldn’t recommend. Go to a corporate location to learn.
Pros
Freedom, flexibility to be able to leave and grab food. Comfortable chairs.
Cons
Stated above

Many ups and downs, overall great!
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Indianapolis, IN - July 17, 2023
When working for TCC in Sales, your days will be very up and down, you can never go into it with any expectation. For some that's a dealbreaker, but for others it provides a sense of excitement. Some days you will be sitting around in an empty store trying to entertain yourself, other days you will be slammed from open to close while making great money in the process. You have to be vigilant and willing to upsell. Multitasking is important too as you have to keep track of your customer's orders, double check small details when making sales, and more. This is NOT a job I would recommend for someone with ADHD/ADD for these reasons. I struggled a bit at first, but once you get the hang of it, you can make some serious money. The company culture itself is great with lots of communication and inclusion for POC, LGBTQ+, Women leaders, etc. Management on the store level is hit-or-miss as it just depends on who your manager is. I was very lucky to have a great manager, however visiting some of the other stores, I have heard horror stories. Their PTO benefits are great and usually easy to secure depending on how well staffed your location is. You can also cash out a portion of your commissions as soon as you clock out through their Dayforce payroll system which is great too. Training is somewhat lackluster as it is mostly done on a computer with little oversight or hands-on instruction. One major area the company struggles with is advancement opportunities. It is very difficult to advance past sales if you are working in the stores. Mangement positions rarely open and when they do, -
Pros
Fun atmosphere, good money, flexible time off/hours.
Cons
Management, training, sales goals.

Great place to work if you’re looking for an easy job with great pay.
Sales Associate (Current Employee) - Terre Haute, IN - July 15, 2023
For what you do, the pay is great. The only stressful part of your job is your numbers are under a microscope and they are constantly changing what they expect of you.
Pros
Great benefits package.
Cons
Retail hours
