Stay Away

It was a great place to work with at 1st, but in recent years, Team- Detroit Lakes has become an absolute mess to work for. There's absolutely no career advancement unless you're a family member of someone higher up. In recent weeks they've cut hours down from a mind boggling 52 hours to 32 hours, claiming it's a slow down period. They keep operators who constantly make mistakes and have no business being there, and alienate the good ones over little petty garbage to the point, a lot of them have quit. They recently forced out their long time plant manager under suspicious reasons. If you want long hours, decent benefits and be written up over things that isn't even your fault, this job is for you. You're better off applying at positions in the area.

Productive good work environment

Start with shift meeting and head out to the floor to designated machine. Relieve previous shift from position, gather information of quality runs and machine issues if any. Communication amongst fellow employees is great and helpful along with documentations of quality product or mishaps on parts or machine breakdowns. What I learned is minor maitnance and precision of operation for better quality and longer runs on the diecast machine. Management is very questionable with ethics. Co workers were great employees excellent communication and reliable. Hardest part of the job was cleaning diecast pit at the end of week, when its hot while pulling and shoveling bad parts that fell and getting burnt Most enjoyable part of the job was relaxing assembly type of environment friendly co workers and enjoyed the work itself. Checking computer for diagnostics and levels of metal being used poured into diecast to forge.

Pros

Great work environment and co-workers

Cons

Lack of communication with management

Needs more compassion towards the worker's needs.

Team industries is a pretty clean place to work, and the employees are nice to work with. The management needs to be a little more compassionate about their employees and their needs. They are willing to force a position on a employee and it the employee doesn't want the position, they can easily quit.

Pros

clean place to work.
