Overall a very good experience, however there is a lot of gate keeping on information, protocols and lessons learned, which makes collaboration tough at times. There is plenty to learn and most times you have to learn it the hard way. Compensation is decent and advancement is acceptable.

TechnipFMC doesn't make money when oil prices are high or low. Executives reorganize employees continuously and lay-offs occur when oil prices are both low and high. Since 2014, lay-offs have become an almost biological response to management. US employees are a minority in the management ranks of the company to save money given the much lower compensation expectations of European employees. Also US employees account for most of the lay-offs. Working at TechnipFMC implies being on emergency mode 24/7.
