Productive and relaxed atmosphere
Manufacturing Associate (Current Employee) –  Warsaw, INJanuary 9, 2019
Tecomet is a very productive company with a relaxed atmosphere. Everyone one works together like a team as the parts go through each process. Each sequence strives to make the next one as easy as possible. What I like best is that I go in and do my job with minimal supervision.

Manufacturing Engineer Tech Lathe Dept (Former Employee) –  Warsaw, INDecember 19, 2018
An oily smelly extremely loud manufacturing facility complete with blaring radios and mostly the young generation who know everything.. Actually there are a few good people who do work there, although it's unclear for their reason for doing so.
Pros
a paycheck
Cons
loud blaring radios set to every station in the state

Lot of room to learn cnc machining. At the same time not very many promotions given out. Not really managed efficiently; move people around a lot. Also unorganized and very had to find anything that you will use for the job.
Pros
Insurance, Holiday pay, Overtime pay

Watchful eye always on the person trying to do his job without hassle
Low life (Former Employee) –  Manchester, NHOctober 10, 2018
The Culture of management is the more you want to know the less likely your are going to grow. They use to be called an 'EMPLOYEE EMPOWERED COMPANY" and had banners hanging in the main aisles there back in the days when I use to work there.. Talk about teamwork?....Now they rather have you shut your trap and take supervisors opinions on your work tasks without any innovation to your ideas; The groupleaders do not know the job they are grouleading and are poor judges of work performance who do not notice what you are doing because they are always behind a computer all day and rely on "HERESAY' from another employee in establishing your yealry review. WOW! How intricate the thought process behind that??? Some do not even know how to do the type of work they are supposedly supervising and haven;t got a clue. Anything good about what you are doing or offering the company is long forgotten and just a waste of your time. Anything you have made a mistake on is always the main focus of your reviews.the 99 good things you did are forgotten but the 1 mistake you make is as rememberd as if it was etched in their little black books, Althoguh management makes plenty of their own mistakes they are always quick and ready to drop the axe on an employee that was not aware or just not told of policies. I think getting in here would be good for just the short term until something better comes along but only if you are DESPERATE enough and willing to hold on through the negative atmosphere that awaits you. It may be an tough battle though!!!

Place Held Together with Band-aids and Bailing Wire
Senior IT Support Specialist (Former Employee) –  Warsaw, INSeptember 27, 2018
The company is seriously under-investing in needed hardware and has most PCs in place that should have been retired years ago. Won't allow techs to do the repairs as they are needed - ultra cheap.

*** Owned by a private equity firm who keeps cutting the IT budget but increasing what they expect that budget to do for their users. ***
Pros
Wear jeans to work.
Cons
Feels small-time and cheap in Orthopedic industry. Minor League

Ok place to work temporarily. The work is dirty and hot, but pays the bills. Not a lot of advancement opportunities. The other workers are pretty friendly.

Co-workers are great. Management is terrible
Operator (Former Employee) –  Manchester, NHAugust 21, 2018
Tecomet is what it is. A low paying company for the people who do the work and a high paying company to management who have no idea what they are doing. Management fires to much from the hip and 90% of the time results in upset employees who do not benefit at all from their decisions. Machines need to be repaired but management's main focus on the facility is looks. That's right. They would rather have a $300k floor rather than putting money back into the machines to get them to actually run right. I left because of poor wages and and terrible management. If you have an idea or voice your opinion, management does not care. Find something else than this place. You won't go anywhere working here.

Decent job to get some experience
Part Fitter (Current Employee) –  MichiganAugust 6, 2018
Horrible management, too much favoritism and nepotism to be able to move up at all. Whatever job you get hired in for is more than likely what you will still have when you leave. The actual job isn't too awful right now, but quotas are quickly rising and becoming almost unattainable. Along with rising quotas the pay stays stagnant with getting a 30-50 cent raise a year (if you aren't a "favorite"). They have a decent variety of machines to get cnc or lathe experience on, but that's pretty much the only good thing about working here.
Pros
Good "stepping stone"
Cons
Bad management, poor benefits, poor pay

If your too quick at your job, they fire you, so they can have someone else do it for cheaper. Was let go because job performance was not meeting there expectations. Routinely finished jobs ahead of schedule

going down hill fast
Operator (Current Employee) –  Manchester, NHJuly 8, 2018
where to start. every day you think that it can't get worse but then management proves you wrong. the group leader that use to run thermalform got moved to group leader of final clean after breaking many rules and not knowing how to run the department. then she got caught stealing from the company twice by taking so many extra breaks. This is the person that they promote? then a few people went to HR to voice concern and were told to mind there own business.
management cant even plan. there 80 jobs sitting at an out source company waiting to be machined and we have machines sitting for days with no work. we wonder why we have bad on time delivery.
i am only here to look for a better place to work but i figured i could help other job seekers
if you are desperate for work take a job here. otherwise move on. things wont get better until tecomet cleans house at the management level

poor management
Operator (Former Employee) –  Manchester, NHJune 1, 2018
Management has ruined this company. A lean team of 5 people at a cost of over $300000 continue to make poor choices. When challenged, their response is "If you don't like it there is the door" If you are a friend of the value stream leader (engineer without any management experience) (Who only got the position because the last 3 quit) life is good. There is still a good core group of people left that get the work done but not sure how much longer they will be there. Management are condescending to all workers on the floor. They walk around with their hands in their pockets and never learn how to do any jobs. Yet think they know everything. They hold anyone on the floor accountable by suspending for 3 days without pay for 1st mistake. Yet the poor decisions that they make that cost the company up to hundreds of thousands of dollars goes unpunished. They only want a bunch of yes men and button pushers
Pros
close to home
Cons
poor management
