TEGNA loves to pivot. There were 3 re-orgs while I was there, all involved layoffs. Seems like with every new strategy, it wasn't given a chance to work before another re-org came along. Loved the people I worked with everyday.

I actually like working here quite a bit. I feel my managers are competent and most of the people I work with are also competent, however, the benefits and pay do not match that of the city I live in.

The culture is evolving, but it's on the right track. The broadcast news industry is a hectic business, but the team is able to come together and produce a great product. The station is growing in market relevance, and there are challenges that come along with that... but overall it's a great station/company to work for.

Despite having record profits over the last year people continue to leave for a myriad of reasons but the main reasons seems to be pay and zero room for growth. People are not leaving this station to go to another one. They are leaving the news business altogether.
