I am grateful for the months I spent at Tekmark -- it was my first recruiting job out of college and I learned a great deal of valuable skills that have allowed me to be successful in my current position. However, now that I've been exposed to what else is out there, I realized that at Tekmark it was "their way or the highway..." There was only one right way to do things there, and management was very rigid and demanding. I was also let go from Tekmark with no notice. The reason I was given was that they lost a major client and could not keep me on. I get the feeling that the company is struggling and in decline. Overall, my feelings about Tekmark are bittersweet.
Great training program, nice people.
Micromanagement, let go with no notice.
