Lot's of work to do with little management
none (Current Employee) –  Morrisville, NCJune 5, 2018
Lot's of work to do with little management - could be a good and bad thing. Roles are not clearly defined. Atmosphere is good. Free coffee is always a plus. Cafe is nice to have too.

Competitive medical device company with fast paced productivity.
Medical Device Extruder Operator (Former Employee) –  Jaffrey, NHMay 28, 2018
I worked here very briefly, but it was a general introduction to medical device production and a clean room environment. The pay scale was very standard as well were the benefits. The demand for productivity was higher than the values of safety and quality of work ethic needed to be there.

Fast paced medical device multinational with siloed business units and decentralized operations
Demand/Supply Planning (Former Employee) –  Morrisville, NCMay 25, 2018
Teleflex was an exciting place to work with large portfolio of Medical Device products manufactured and distributed around the world. Increasing investments in systems, global distribution, acquisitions, and new product introductions, while driving for higher share price, created a stressful environment with management turnover.
Pros
Every employee contributed to delivering life-saving products and solutions around the world
Cons
Operational friction caused by competing strategies from corporate and business unit executives

Decent mid-range medical device company. Good place to learn the med dev basics, but you'll need to bring your own training to the job. Plenty of opportunity here.
Pros
Good pay and benefits
Cons
Division and BU managment embraces too many initiatives.

V.P. of Finance, Respiratory & Latin America (Current Employee) –  Morrisville, NCMay 3, 2018
An extremely collaborative environment where I support a U.S. business and the company's Latin America region. Very diverse work load encompassing diverse medical device product portfolio and diverse marketplaces.

Have helped both business (Respiratory & Latin America) grow in a very competitive environment. Have exercised entrepreneurial skills in establishing legal entities, creating strategic plans and executing on annual operating plans involving marketing, selling, R&D and administrative functions.

Looking forward to next phase of career where I can continue refining finance and business management skills.
Pros
Collaborative teams
Cons
Limited growth opportunities in NC

Medical devices galore
Jr Financial Analyst (Former Employee) –  Mountain View, CAApril 30, 2018
It's a nice big company that's still innovating, although they have made many acquisitions recently and have had global restructuring for manufacturing.

The plant that I worked at is no longer there as operations were moved overseas, so I can only speak about what I saw at the corporate and R&D levels.

It's a fast moving company with strict standards that is going lean while still trying to be innovative. Upper management is East Coast brass. However, it is very stable and many people have been there for a long time.
Pros
Stable, still innovative
Cons
Going lean, most operations are overseas

Engineer (Current Employee) –  Maple Grove, MNApril 12, 2018
Stay away for now. One year after buyout. Chaos rules as management pats each other on the back. Meeting after meeting. We still make a product in spite of top heavy management. Teleflex is turning to temp workers for now and waiting to ship production jobs overseas. Teleflex is a heavy handed task master squeezing everyone for the last dollar. Corporate culture is non existing. Nobody feels part of this company . It is just a job. Teleflex is cheap, non caring Overlord that very few people can relate to.
Pros
Free coffee
Cons
Sad worried faces and who cares attitude.

International Export Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Raleigh, NCApril 11, 2018
Typical day consist of helping customers with the coordination of their shipments.

Worst part is that I am sitting all day and the best part is knowing all the coordination is completed and the shipment is ready to go to the customer.

Poorly managed.
Machine Operator (Former Employee) –  Jaffrey, NHApril 4, 2018
Jaffrey location does not follow one set standard for work ethic or quality across the shifts. Management appears lost most of the time, including group leads. They lack communication and discretion. Top down management style makes it difficult for employees to understand the business. The environment is negative and when the company is behind in production they still hold long meetings that hinder output forcing overtime.
Pros
Paid breaks. All the overtime you want!
Cons
Benefits with high deductibles, poor management.

Product Associate (Current Employee) –  Maple Grove, MNMarch 14, 2018
This job is a good place to learn and grow with the catheter industry.
I need a job that I actually have an active position. The hardest part about this job for me is finding something to do the next day because don't really have a fixed position that responsible for.
Pros
overtime, short days on Friday

A good solid company, not a great innovative company
Senior Manager (Current Employee) –  Reading, PAFebruary 25, 2018
A good company to work for with solid benefits (health care, 401k) and okay work culture. Work is rewarding by virtue of working on products that improve patient outcomes. However, after proving safety of products, everything else is about keeping costs down and profits up. Manufacturing jobs are being moved out of the USA for the reward of stock holders (regular employees do not get stock). Chances to be a leader in fields of management, culture, and product discovery are there - but not taken because that would take away from profit margins. So, overall, a typical USA manufacturing company. Not the best and not the worst.
Pros
Good health care benefits, decent pay, ethical
Cons
Not an innovative company, no stock options for regular employees

Awful place to work
Packer (Former Employee) –  Chelmsford, MAFebruary 15, 2018
I worked at teleflex through corworx staffing and the management refused to give a time card. Which means the hours i worked was not being tracked. The group leader and upper management are bullies and track down the hours they prefer. When I quit the company refused to pay me what I worked because they claimed I didn't show up. A Weeks worth of pay down the drain
Pros
The coworkers are great
Cons
Upper managment are the worst
