Great work culture with team members that supports one another
Assembly Line Worker (Former Employee) - Industry, CA - May 12, 2022
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedGood pay & benefits. In a busy day expect to see at least 8 hrs of work with 2-4 hours OT. Easy-going people to work with that was able to compliment each other within themselves.

Well paid
Line Operator (Former Employee) - Medina, OH - May 10, 2022
No vacation time for a year, no FMLA for a year. Tough work, newer management. Hot in summer. Not worth it overall. Benefits first day. People ok, management not

Great pay with good benefits
Manufacturing Associate (Former Employee) - Conyers, GA - April 20, 2022
Start pay exceeded start pay with other employment (jobs). The benefits were very attractive, along with co-match 401k. However the environment was toxic with 'reality tv' type drama! There were favoritism slighted toward the latino workers-being that they would work 12+ hrs routinely, and absorb a lot of the BS' that came from management

Overall Positive Experience
Regional Sales Manager (Former Employee) - Southeast US - April 5, 2022
Very inclusive company with good benefits and compensation. My position was eliminated due to Covid even though they got a ton of PPP money. They never really say well with me. I got along with everyone and overall a positive experience.

No one knows what they are doing.
Truck Driver Class A CDL (Current Employee) - Irving, TX - March 9, 2022
Benefits are ok. Pay is just ok! Never know what you are doing for more than 1 to 2 days in advance if that. Plant is continually messing up causing loads to be delayed or canceled. One day you are working days, then after 10 off you are back there at 12,1,2 in the morning. Unloading mattresses isn't really that hard unless you have the heavy ones and a lazy customer. Long, long wait times at some customers. 10 to 16 hour days depending on what you are doing. Equipment is a JOKE!! Cameras, On Guard System. Trucks set at 65 pedal (64) and 68 cruise (66 average speed). Expect you to do some runs where you might not make it back in your allotted time. Constantly having to re-route loads due to poor scheduling and have to work around pieces in the way!

A productive and fun company that cares
Manufacturing Office Coordinator (Current Employee) - Charlotte, NC - February 8, 2022
Tempur Sealy is really invested in their people. They offer great benefits, competitive pay, and in Charlotte they offer great hours. More importantly, they want to help you grow and they care about your life outside of work. The new Charlotte facility is really nice; everything in the plant is new and the atmosphere is productive, comfortable, and fun. The supervisors and managers are honest and intelligent, and they're invested in teaching you and helping you excel in your field. This is the best company I've ever worked for.

Very competitive Salary but little opportunity to impact continuous improvement - very status quo
DSP (Direct Support Professional) (Former Employee) - Richmond, CA - February 3, 2022
lots of tenured employees in the facility but very stuck in the "way we always do it". Pay rates are on par with local demographics, benefits are OK also.

No sick time. Points system that u still add points to even if u have a high temp and shouldn't be at work. No care to help succeed.
Production Worker (Current Employee) - Green Island, NY - January 12, 2022
The pay is good for what you do. However. The scheduling at the company makes it impossible to know how your day is going to go. U can't be sick, ever or you accrue points, and no pay for being sick. So they are basically wanting you to show up sick during these unsure times of illness or u can lose the job. Vacation is based on seniority. For example I was told I couldn't use vacation time because someone who had been there longer in my department had already requested the day. The day in question, I get there, and all of my coworkers in my department were accounted for. And when I asked I was told oh well. The management doesn't help keep you involved with the company or give u an outlook or try to keep you motivated or intrigued in the job at all,, unless u hound them for it,, which they come off as you are bothering them. The pay is good, but a terribly ran company. Not worth the pay, and wouldn't recommend to get involved with if you have a family, or don't stay healthy 100% throughout the year.

Cons
Everything else.

Great team to work with but management cares little of your health
Warehouse Worker (Former Employee) - Lacey, WA - December 18, 2021
I loved this job because of the amazing coworkers I had, but I had to quit for safety/health reasons. I had gotten back surgery (Was a work related injury from bending over to pull stuff out of bins all day long but I had no idea how I hurt my back as it gradually got worse and it wasn’t possible to report an injury when I was unsure of how I injured it in the first place until my doctor told me what type of movements caused my injury which immediately told me how I hurt myself) and had switched job positions to prevent further injury. Although I switched job positions I kept getting pulled over to my previous job and would then soon be left alone with no help and had to carry mattresses over my head by myself for multiple hours a day. Going home and being in excruciating pain was too overwhelming. I knew I was risking re injuring my back so I chose to leave the company since I brought this matter up before to my supervisor. I felt my voice was being unheard and I chose to make the decision to leave the company to prevent further injury. Besides that it’s a great place to work as long as you don’t injure yourself.
Pros
Monthly meeting and special lunches bbqs etc, Good pay, Great environment, Friendly management, decent benefits
Cons
Many safety guidelines are ignored, People are given too many chances there, Attendance policy is bent for veteran employees

Jobs at Tempur + Sealy
Good place
Assembly Technician (Former Employee) - Albuquerque, NM - December 7, 2021
Good work, great hours and good pay, but less opportunity for advancement. Management is kind but keeps a distance. Supervisors unfortunately can become a source of stress, but if you work with them there are no issues.
Pros
Lunches, giveaways
Cons
Stress

Inclusive workspace
Coordinator (Current Employee) - Conyers, GA - November 17, 2021
The job is what you make it. Salary could definitely be better considering the company does so well. Great work life balance. Over all the employees all seem fair , different departments depends on where you will work in the company

Productive and busy
Production Associate (Former Employee) - Atlanta, GA - November 5, 2021
Some of the perks could be better like for cellphone discount on plans or travel discounts but the company overall us awesome could be better if it had cool installation temperature control climate all over the warehouse not in the beakroom and front offices
Pros
Free lunch

Great Products, Poor Management and Low Pay
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Cincinnati, OH - October 27, 2021
Tempur-Pedic has not streamlined the sales process or software programs. The products are excellent, but the company can't get out of it's own way as far as making it easy to complete a sale. The store manager is not involved with training staff or concerned with the customer orders, only cosmetic insignificant details in the store and hiring more salespeople we didn't need. The compensation is a joke.
Pros
Great Products
Cons
poor compensation and communication

Good pay. That’s it.
Tape Edge Operator (Former Employee) - Lacey, WA - October 16, 2021
Just a terrible culture. Everyone is overworked and taken advantage of. The top dog at the company is a nice guy but can’t do anything to change the amount of work and lack of advancement. You will never get a raise. It’s just a soul crusher.
Pros
Decent pay/ benefits. Lots of overtime.
Cons
Usually only one day off. Miserable vibe in the plant.

Slow workplace
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - United States - October 7, 2021
Just that, manager was pretty bad, TP does not advertise so it is very slow going, benefits are good, compensation is good but there are very few customers. We ended up doing more store cleaning than selling
Pros
Pay
Cons

Place for Growth
Production (Current Employee) - Belmont, MS - August 10, 2021
You advance yourself. Attendance and performance are key to success and a willingness to learn. Management will help guide you to your success. It is hot though, but only for a few months out of the year. It is a clean environment for a production facility as well.
Pros
Pay, benefits
Cons
none
