Staffing

Like all hospitals post Covid, staffing is a challenge. Over all it’s a good place. There is a great focus on teamwork. Leadership is promoted from within. Pay is competitive for the area.

All about the money

I don't have a problem working hard, but these staffing issues are terrible. Pay is lower, and it was acceptable for 8 years because I really like what I did. However when tenet bought it out, the focus was all about volume and not patient care. Up to 65 + patients a day with no more staff. Meetings to address staff were to no avail. Ok place to work. Administration needs work but bedside nurse managers really care about patients and employees. Resources are lacking in most departments but employees are great people

Terrible

Working at brookwood women center in Homewood, AL was terrible. You get paid pennies for doing hard work! Then they cross train you where you get trained to work at the desk as well for the same pay. On top of that you also get called off a lot if they are short patients. They dont try to allow you to make those hours up either. Management smile in your face but aren't genuinely friendly.
