Clients were great, management was beyond awful
Analyst (Former Employee) –  Washington, DCMay 11, 2018
BLUF - worst mistake I have ever made was accepting a position with this company.
First off, who fires someone then tells them they have to stay to train the replacement? This happend twice that I know of at Teracore. The project manager must have been senile since I was berated for things I didn’t do. They don’t care about their people only the perception of the company (which - for the record, is terrible at my client site). Turnover is very bad. Team morale is awful, good people leave left and right. I would only recommend this company to someone in desperate need of a Paycheck. You have been warned.
Pros
Paycheck

Government Consulting with Great Management
Project Manager (Current Employee) –  Washington, DCApril 3, 2018
Teracore is a small business, government consulting firm. Day to day work varies, of course, by contract and Client. If you want to advance at Teracore, you have more than enough opportunities - it is what you make of it. The management is very open, welcoming, easy to talk with about issues, recommendations, assistance, etc. At Teracore, you're consistently recognized when you perform well. You're not just a number like you are at some of the bigger consulting firms.

Terrible culture and management
Task Lead (Current Employee) –  Washington City, DCSeptember 26, 2017
Not a lot of great management. C-suite seems involved, although you rarely see any of them if you work on a client site (like most of the company does). Lots of negative outlooks from colleagues which makes for a long day. Not a lot of growth and they only service the DHS market, which has a reputation for difficult clients and long hours. Corporate and personal development "bonuses" are provided which are around 3% max and almost every employees receives the bonuses regardless how much effort they put into their work, which isn't a motivating factor for success. Holiday and summer parties are fun.

Good Company - No Job Security
Senior Associate (Former Employee) –  Washington City, DCAugust 2, 2017
The company is good to work for, but is tied soley to your project. If there are budget cuts and your project is cut, you automatically lose your job. Teracore will tell you at the interview that there are multiple projects and opportunities for advancement, but I don't know anyone who has actually observed this.
Pros
Flexible work hours.
Cons
No job security or opportunities for advancement.

Bare bones government contracting provider.
Senior Consultant (Current Employee) –  Arlington, VAJune 30, 2017
Good place to work temporarily if you have no other options. HR is very lacking and poor benefits. Management is only interested in the bottom line. There should be more job security in a position like this.
Pros
None
Cons
Poor benefits, no travel reimbursement, no job security.

Upper Management is Great
Business Analyst/ User Interface Modeler (Current Employee) –  Washington, DCMarch 8, 2017
The mid-level management is not so great. I've experienced high turnover and overly confident unprofessional approaches.

The core team of upper management and founders are excellent, interested in thier employees and establishing company culture. Health benefits and HR is excellent.
Pros
excellent integrity
Cons
contracts are written at the employees disadvantage - work life balance is mediocre

Teracore compensates well and has great work-life balance. There is, however, no career path and management is more concerned with staffing than ensuring the right people are placed on the right project to meet client needs.

Great workplace for experienced professionals
Senior Analyst (Current Employee) –  Washington, DCJuly 27, 2016
Pros - I love that senior leadership is friendly and it's not hard to talk with senior leadership. They actually listen and provide great feedback when you need help.

Cons - there isn't much opportunity for working on a variety of projects, you will be stuck on the same project until the contract ends in most cases.

Other things, the leadership (PMs and other management) are pretty much all males; it doesn't present much diversity in the workplace.

It provides a decent work life Balance and decent Salary. It's contract based so that will determine your colleague team.

Small Company Big Possibilities
Analyst (Current Employee) –  Washington, DCMarch 11, 2013
Good company if you're looking for a nice salary and boring work. Projects are varied and often interesting, but management and HR are often unsupportive and unresponsive to requests.
Pros
salary, comfortability, flexibility of work
Cons
stability, time off, corporate politics
