Nothing
Innovation tech (Former Employee) - Middleburg Heights, OH - November 12, 2021
All they care about is making money, at the expense of there customer and workers. Salesman are told to sell sell sell even if the customer doesn't need it.

It's simple, Do Not apply for employment there. Work place is very toxic, if you want to work in pest control I Highly Recommend applying at other companies.
Pros
Weekends off
Cons
Very poor non qualified management team

Rat in a wheel
Terminix tech (Current Employee) - Santa Fe Springs, CA - September 16, 2021
NEVER THOUGHT THE REVIEWS COULD BE SO TRUE UNTIL I WORKED HERE (And there’s a lot of them everywhere) - Not worth the headache. Fun and new at first but company is notorious for bad employee turn over rate, poor working conditions & management. As a employee you are treated poorly & pay system is set up on easily manipulated numbers (weather you use veterans trick to lie & cheat or upset customers mad at never changing company problems giving poor experiences). Learning & growth - mangers are constantly regurgitating useless info, inexperienced & completely clueless so they have your rely on trying to learn from other techs who are not interested in helping due to them being a rat in a wheel trying to survive. All good experienced mangers either left, fired (veterans in a blink of an eye) or bailed for better. Finally they will be constantly demanding numbers, your time, & could careless about your work-life balance.
Pros
Helping people
Cons
Constantly convincing/begging customers the company will change or for money, rat stuck in a wheel, Hard work always goes unnoticed

The work is bull
Technician (Current Employee) - Springfield, NJ - September 3, 2021
Anyone can do their own pest control the service is a lie with poorly trained employees always need to lie to customers drop appointments cause your day is overly booked
Pros
If you work comercial you get to sit in your car instead of doing the service
Cons
You lie to people into think your actually doing something they can’t

I learned a LOT and gained experience in many pest control fields.

It's a job. Nothing special.
Technician (Former Employee) - Houston, TX - August 11, 2021
The pay is decent, and the job isn't hard. the bad part of it is management doesn't last, and neither do their promises or culture. in the time i was here, 3 managers and a couple supervisors came and went. so, every few months, you'd get someone with a big head come in and try to change things. This ultimately just gets in the way of you doing your job, since they want it done another way. Hours can be long or short, changes every day. work is fast paced, but easy. you get your own truck to take home, and you only go to the office when you need stuff to do your job, or when a meeting is held. hardest part is dealing with the nonsense that new management and supervision bring with them
Pros
can take truck home
Cons
management and supervision can't be relied upon

They take advantage of their employees and customers
Route Technician (Current Employee) - Texas - July 14, 2021
Learn this trade somewhere else! Terminix will milk your hard work for every penny its worth and then throw you out like a piece of trash. I've seen veterans that have been around for decades walk out recently. Not a good company at all. Run the other way as quickly as possible!
Pros
No boss
Cons
Everything!

Technician positionsProductive and fun workplace
Technician (Former Employee) - Auburn, AL - June 30, 2021
Enjoyed working for the company. The customers were very nice and it was very laid back. The reason I left is because I went back to school and didn’t see a future there.

I do not recommend
Technician (Former Employee) - Danville, IL - June 30, 2021
The job started out great. After awhile, the management was bad. Micromanage everything you do. Pay was bad for the workload you are expected. Not everyone is treated equal. They brag that they are family oriented. They are if your making them lots of money. As usual, management was poor so I found employment elsewhere.
Pros
Gifts at meetings
Cons
Bad management

Overall
Hourly Technician (Current Employee) - 5664 w 73rd st - June 20, 2021
It can be stressful at times, but if you don't mind the stress and awkward hours, it's actually not a bad place to work. Plus the bonuses and pay aren't bad especially if you can negotiate a livable hourly rate.
Pros
Small group of people
Cons
Strange hours

Frustrating and very overworked
Route Technician (Current Employee) - Allentown, PA - June 10, 2021
You can make decent money here that's the only good thing. They tell you you have control over your route but that's a joke. Expect to be given more services last minute often 30-50 minutes away from your next closest service but the best part is you aren't told about it and you will find out when you are close to finishing your day and you get a call from our call center telling you that the customer expected you 4 hours ago. There's a lot I can get into but not enough space to really get into it.
Pros
Decent money
Cons
Communication, work life balance

Fast paced. Never a boring moment.
Technician (Current Employee) - Rochester, NY - May 20, 2021
I didn’t know what to expect. First of all it’s exterminating so could I ever enjoy it. Found out- like all things you adapt to what you learn and know. Hours are only bad if I don’t manage my time well. I choose to work more than asked. Management is trying hard to make it very positive. Hard to balance customers needs but it seems everyone is working towards it. There was no manager for a couple years. I’m glad I applied.
Pros
Leadership, no late evenings or overnights, pay, people
Cons
Insurance isn’t very good.

Local management is great, corporate sucks
Technician (Current Employee) - Louisville, KY - May 18, 2021
This company is its own worst enemy. Its constantly 2 steps forward 3 steps back. The biggest issue is the leadership stopped listening to the customer and now only responds to the shareholders. They concentrate on the most obscure metrics and over complicate what could be a thriving business if they would just get out of their own way.
Pros
Local management
Cons
Luck of the draw routes are the only ones that can meet pay metric goals

Great place to work but need to give better insentives.
Exclusion Tech (Former Employee) - Hanover, MD - May 3, 2021
You get your jobs daily ranging from 3 to 7 stops a day for typical pest control. They need to do a better jog scheduling gutter jobs and pay more for those special jobs that are dealing with pest control. The culture is great in the over all. I've had the pleasure of working or training in Hanover, Landover and Sterling branches.
Pros
take home home truck, pay every week
Cons
The pay should be a lot better for the work you do.

You are only a number to them
Technician (Current Employee) - Bainbridge, GA - May 1, 2021
All this company cares about is production. It does not matter if the job is done or done correctly they will make you close the work order just to get that production on the books. They don’t care about the customer and see them as nothing more than numbers on a piece of paper. The local managers are great but get constant pressure from up above them to do more than is possible just to meet unreasonable goals. Techs are pushed to just get it done and sales men lie and sale products that customers don’t need just to get that production. If techs try to speak up about bad sales or jobs that can’t be done correctly nothing happens. I honestly am trying to find another job everyday that will pay me what I make here but it’s difficult
Pros
Great local people, company truck, good pay
Cons
No work life balance, does not care about customer only money

Great place to make a career
Technician (Current Employee) - Portland, OR - April 28, 2021
Great training program and excellent pay and benefits. A always growing company with plenty of opportunities to grow your career. You can't be lazy and expect the world to be handed to you. Work hard and have a mind for sales and you can grow and make plenty of money.
Pros
Benefits, pay, truck, phone
Cons
You must be a self starter
