As a Manager at The Terraces I have found Senior management to be fully supportive, whether addressing regulatory changes, day to day operational needs or simply personal needs. This creates a strong foundation for the managerial team to have the ability to be strong and effective in providing care to thus vulnerable population. Of all the healthcare companies I have worked for in over 25 years, The Terraces has been the best by a longshot!

Pros

Paid lunch for all staff. Breakfast and lunch items provided. Great teamwork. Calm environment.

Cons

Healthcare is challenging - choose the location by the culture not just the hourly rate.

Enjoyed my job but I left shortly after a new large company took over this family owned business

I hope for the best for the Terraces employees and residents. The property needs a lot updating while trying to keep it's homey charm. The staff are very caring but under payed especially the CNA'S The kitchen staff tries to do their best in a unsafe dilapidated area. I left as the new owners were looking into all the much needed repairs. The property just needs a lot of expensive updates and repairs.

We appreciate this staff member's candid review of our community. EF Senior Care as the new owners of the Terraces Orleans have invested heavily in upgrading the building, including a new roof, replacing the concrete balcony and patios, and refreshing the landscape since 2022. Invested in new equipment and technology throughout the community. And we have increased the pay rates for our front-line care givers and in general for all staff.

Excellent place to work

It will be two years in October since I came to work at this darling nursing home as an LPN. It's a wonderful place to work and it feels like home. Everyone is so happy and pleasant and work as a team to provide the best of care for the residents. Management is fair and respectful and easily approachable. I'm very happy here and and glad I found this jewel in the heart of Orleans.
