Field Geophysicist (Former Employee) - St. Louis, MO - November 15, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedKnow what you sign up for. This position requires staying overnight in hotels for weeks at a time. If you love traveling across small-town America, this job is perfect for you. The management is good and I have no personal or business issues with the location.

Management doesn’t care but says he does.
Corporate Service Rep. / Administrative Assistant III (Former Employee) - Tulsa, OK - November 20, 2023
It is an ESOP company which was a plus. Management was bringing that office down. Too much work for one person to achieve. End of the day was the best part of the day
Pros
Esop
Cons

Great for engineers .
CMT (Current Employee) - USA - November 17, 2023
Good for entry level positions. You gotta put up with that "special" engineering sense of humor. Underpaid and underworked. I'm sure it works out for somebody.

I love it.
Busy days. Work is steady but I'm part of a winning team. The office is focused on developing its staff. Management is genuine and engages their teams for success.

Not what I expected
Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) - Portland, OR - November 8, 2023
Lack of training. Work environment became toxic quickly. No one wants to take responsibility for things going wrong. They wonder why it’s so hard to get anyone to apply even…

Good growing opportunities
Technician (Current Employee) - Des Moines, IA - November 1, 2023
Full of choices and paths on learning your career. Most managers are willing to help you with questions and will back you up if you have concerns of safety on the job.

Great Company!
Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) - Round Rock, TX - October 6, 2023
All of the people I work with are amazing, has a real family feeling to it which is very different from other offices, a relatively new office so has lots of opportunities, when surprise things happen everyone is completely understanding, the field staff are some tough folks they work really hard at wild hours that change constantly but they all have a great attitude, most everyone gets along and overall is a fun workplace!

Engaging, busy, independent career growth, great management, long hours and sporadic start and stop times.
Technician III (Former Employee) - Fort Collins, CO - September 30, 2023
Field work and lab work are a must. It’s fun if you like to learn more about the construction industry. Constantly moving from project due to project site.
Pros
Career growth, opportunity to learn.
Cons
Work life balance, long hours at times, physically demanding as a field technician

Busy but good!
Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) - Nebraska - September 20, 2023
Always something to do. Admin wear many hats but it does help the day go by. Upper management is almost always flexible when life events pop up and benefits are great. Overall very comfortable place to work.

It seems they could enjoy themselves while being productive
Data Entry (Former Employee) - Olathe - August 10, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? I worked at old office in Olathe seemed nice and modern. They built a new office a little further up the road. The people I encountered were very nice and respectable. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? At the time I spent there, I did not see any stressful part. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? As I previously said everyone was nice. What is a typical day like for you at the company? The short time I was there GOOD

Nice professional co-workers yet too much turnover & stressful.
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) - Contra Costa County, CA - August 8, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Friendly, professional and talented. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Too many extra tasks that do not add value; some groups stressed about budgets. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Management does not always communicate clearly or they wait until the last moment, then there is a rush and quality of work suffers. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Planning for work that needs to be done, then surprises happen all too often that disrupt deadlines. Always following up with computer issues because many systems out of date.

Great Work-life balance
Staff Engineer (Current Employee) - Houston, TX - June 30, 2023
The geotechnical department at the Houston office is a very good office for young engineers. Large project volume goes through this office which means a lot of opportunities to do different projects if one desires. Management is generally laid back and relaxed.

Horrible work/life balance
Construction Materials Testing/Engineering Technician (Former Employee) - Des Moines, IA - June 22, 2023
The PM's seemed to care only care about results and not how you where doing. You wouldn't know what your schedule looked like until the afternoon before hand. There was a very big lack of communication between everyone. The managers seemed to breath down your neck if you happened to do something they didn't like

poor management and wages
Material Technician (Current Employee) - Columbia, SC - June 19, 2023
Leadership does not allow the time for proper training before throwing you to the wolves, so be a fast learner. Management always say what you are doing wrong but never how to fix it. Don't expect your voice to be heard. Office personnel will speak of "how they have so much upcoming work" but yet everyone struggles to even get hours most weeks. They will not pay a living wage. The competitors are paying 5-10$ more an hour for the same position which is why I left. Expect to get paid between 18-20$ an hour and laughed at if you ask for more. While salary and engineers are getting paid close to if not more than 100$ a hour and you may see one come to the jobsite a year for half a hour. You'll be breaking your back and waking up at odd hours so they can sleep on their pillows filled with security and money. They would rather replace you, than pay you a living wage. I'm not saying the grass is always greener on the other side, but this office could be very profitable and a good place to work... If they cared about their employees, the companies they work for here locally, and had a change in the management team that have been there a long time. They do not care about their employees and how they treat them. Lastly there is absolutely no room for growth. When I worked there, new hires, would last about 2-4 weeks before quitting due to how they were treated.

Barely make a living for rich entitled engineers.
CWI Inspector/Coating Specialist/NDT (Former Employee) - Jacksonville, FL - June 18, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Paid bills just barely alot of class warfare.in the office. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Trying to make your hours when work was slow. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? It is class based if you are an office worker you are taken more seriously. If you are a field worker you are treated like a second class citizen.

Could be better. Hours get pretty weird.
Engineering Technician Intern (Current Employee) - Shreveport, LA - June 10, 2023
I currently work as an intern Technician. It’s been pretty nice since it does pay more than most places in my area but it definitely could be a lot higher. You aren’t guaranteed 40 hours but you can’t get another job because the work schedule is pretty much non existent. You literally get dispatched day by day around 3-4 pm. And if the PM is nice enough they’ll let you know earlier in the day in you have a 2 AM concrete pour. That’s one of my biggest cons. Work isn’t too bad. Nothing crazy labor intensive besides being in the heat.

Good Hours, Bad health insurance
Field Technician (Former Employee) - Round Rock - May 23, 2023
The hours are nice. There is usually plenty of overtime. The healthcare is pretty bad for the price. No drama and everyone is very professional. Not a bad place to work.

Unequal Opportunities
Engineer (Former Employee) - Lenexa, KS - May 12, 2023
Make and females are treated very differently by certain management. Expected to be over 100% chargeable which is actually not feasible when you factor in training, vacation time, sick time, and holidays.

Hypocritical Communication
Contractor (Former Employee) - Kansas City, MO - May 12, 2023
Working with a team and was given an assignment that I had trouble with. Instead of given support it was determined that my shortcomings were enough to let me go. No communication from the manager just one day I went from positive feedback to negative feedback. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Pros
Good culture
Cons
Hypocritical communication

Ok place to start
Materials Technician (Former Employee) - Greensboro, NC - May 10, 2023
Ok company to for. Office people are clicked up. If you have an issue with one they will make life hard for you. Only speaking on my personal experience.
