Interview somewhere else. I have 5 yrs NDT experience. Current CWI. State carded radiographer. And the list goes on. I've done a ton of industral welding inspection. Made a change and came to terracon. And all I look at is concrete and dirt! I absolutely hate it. And Terracon doesn't pay much. And out office has been dead with work.
Have you exhausted ALL other possibilities? Have you done everything possible to present yourself to other potential employers as viable?
To be honest about their capabilities when being interviewed.

If you are an engineering major and looking for an internship, Terracon is a great place to start. As an intern your will be challenged and given the opportunity to take on jobs that are pertinent to the field. If you are not majoring in soils engineering or geosciences, do not intern at Terracon.
If you can't find another job take the one at Terracon and then keep looking. You will find something better
