You have to take the bad with the good
IT Work Manager (Current Employee) – Denton, TX – August 14, 2018
Like any company, there are good departments and bad departments to work in. At Tetra Pak, this is also the case, even within the IT area. When I started, it was really quite a great place to work. Your technical expertise was acknowledged and appreciated. Unfortunately, in my area, micromanagement has become the norm, along with disregarding SMEs' and other technical experts' assessments and just unquestioningly doing whatever management orders (even if you 'challenge' their ideas, they only playact listening and then still railroad you).
Again, this is only in the area I worked. Unfortunately, I have so far (after several attempts) been unable to successfully transfer to another area and the only way out of the toxic environment will be for me to leave the company it seems.
Company benefits, retirement, parental leave.
Pockets of mismanagement within various areas.
