great if you love kids!!!!
Behavior Interventionist (Former Employee) – Santa Cruz, CA – October 1, 2017
You must be comfortable with being able to discipline children, and be a strong leader. You are provided with resources to succeed and are often encouraged to talk to the clinical supervisors if you plan to go further in the ABA field. I learned a lot and I am grateful for that! You are making a huge difference in a child/families life but must be a PATIENT, KIND, UNDERSTANDING, person!! If you don't like kids, you will likely not like this job. I was able to work in school and home based settings and see OT, PT, and speech therapists work with the kids which was awesome!!!
rewarding, learned a lot, was offered ongoing training and RBT certification
cannot build relationships with coworkers, lack of communication at times, not always prepared to work with the kids 1:1
