Good place for growth if you are wiling to make your own path
Employee (Former Employee) - Ohio - October 31, 2021
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by Indeed Great place for those who are confident in solving problems & figuring things out. Management is receptive to new ideas and improvements to employees. Not a great fit for those who are used to rigid processes and structure. You will see variety in the work you are doing every day, opportunities to wear a lot of hats, learn, develop yourself etc.
Pros
Interesting products, fair compensation
Cons
commute ( no work remote)

Don't work at that company
Janitorial Worker (Former Employee) - Mason, OH - June 30, 2022
Don't work for this company they are a joke . They lay off people all the time and don't repeat no one and no good feedback. The manager I work with didn't know what he was doing. And he was always on our to not to take a break or just to get a drink of water .
Pros
Non thing

High turnover. No one knows what’s going on.
Technical Writer (Former Employee) - Mason, OH - April 26, 2022
I was hired as a Technical Writer to fill an empty roll. Upon being hired, there was 0 direction and no processes in place. After 2 months I was laid off due to “force reduction”. Doesn’t make sense to me why you would hire someone for 2 months and cut them because the company isn’t selling any new products.
Pros
None
Cons
Poor management. Owner is cheap. Will have layoffs.

Good Place to work
This is a bit of an interesting place. You read so many things that are bad, so I went in wondering if it really was that bad. It most definitely is not. I will say you can get a weird vibe and there are some clicks of people, but overall it is a very good place to work. The CFO, VP of OPs and Corporate President are great people. Many of the people on their staff are awesome as well. The office is dated for sure and could use some new furniture, desks and cleaning but that is so much less important than the work itself. You read about the owner quite a bit. He is a very nice guy that genuinely does care about the people. He sometimes doesn't show it in a transparent way but he definitely cares. When the leadership is allowed to spread their wings and run the company on their own the sky is the limit for this company. They will be one of the best places in town to work when a few changes happen and they let people with knowledge in their field do what they do best. I was very thankful for the opportunity to work with them and would recommend others to give them a chance and keep an open mind. I know I will help them in any way that I can going forward.

A good stepping stone
HR Generalist (Former Employee) - Mason, OH - June 8, 2021
Armor taught me a lot but it was baptism by fire. Little to no direction and just had to figure it out myself. When I did have a new manager (about every 6 months or so), they rarely had support to provide me because they weren’t anymore qualified for their role than I was in my role. A lot of the people were great so it hurt to see them laid off time after time. The company could be great if they cared about their people.

Just looking for warm bodies
Sweatshop worker (Former Employee) - Mason, OH - May 17, 2021
I worked at this company as a welder. I don't like to brag but I am a very skilled welder. The first week I worked here they wouldn't let me weld at all. They stuck me working a machine that I had no previous experience working with and let me perform the same monotonous task over and over. After week one I finally met my supervisor and he assured me things were going to get better. They did not. This is by far the worst company I have ever worked for. Turnover is simply astronomical and anyone with a brain can see why. they have no problem telling you whatever you want to hear to get you to hire on. This company is a train wreck and they're simply looking for warm bodies to fill the positions till their employees get annoyed and quit.

Seems to be falling apart
HR Generalist (Former Employee) - Mason, OH - November 20, 2020
Everyone seems to be leaving this company. The turnover here is crazy. The pay isn't the greatest but the benefits are good (paid time off, vacation, etc ). The insurance is good but you have huge deductibles and copays.
Pros
It's a job
Cons
Management

Unsafe but simple
Mechanic (Current Employee) - Inkster, MI - January 15, 2020
The work isn't usually safe and equipment is typically misskng or broken at best, but the job is not difficult to do. Upper management does not understand tkme and equipment needed to finish a job

They don't care about the employees
Welder/Fabricator II (Former Employee) - Mason, OH - December 22, 2019
While some of the fellow employees are a blast to work with, the management is not. You will be pretty much be dishing out over $100 a week in premiums for health insurance. If you get more than 1.5 points against you on attendance you'll be hounded constantly about it. It's just an overall bad place to work.

never seen this level of incompetence befor
Welder/Fabricator (Former Employee) - Mason, OH - September 20, 2019
As a welder with 19 years experience i have never seen more of a disaster. Managers and supervisors at each others jugular trying to prove their own value and keep their jobs. Guess who gets stuck holding the bag when they make outrages claims to other managers/supervisors you. Eliminated most all of my department military and demanded I do all the jobs

Classic Bait and Switch
Office Staff Salary (Current Employee) - Mason, OH - March 2, 2019
Once I started on the job the work expected of me was not what was reviewed in any of the previous interviews. The office is chaos. No clear direction on where the company is going. No strategic plan on growth or improvement. Owner is set in his ways and refuses good advice from his staff. CFO is incompetent and a bully. Management yells at staff and trys to embarrass them rather than train them. No resources. Turn over is quick. Not many people over a few months. They are trying to run the office on co-ops.
Cons
Expected to work on weekends

They have assembled a great team - very exciting!
Active Employee - Office (Current Employee) - Mason, OH - February 18, 2019
Front office team is strong and getting things done. Shop workers are the best I've seen - and I've seen many manufacturing teams in my years. The company has truly turned the corner and things are going very well. It's great to be part of the team.
Pros
Future growth, management team, shop workers
Cons
Nothing out of the ordinary

Lots of work outside your job description
Welder II/Fabricator (Current Employee) - Mason, OH - January 31, 2019
Spend two hours looking for parts, another hour finding where the tools went, and at least another hour to figure out what engineering actually wants you to do. If the builds are given more engineering time, you might have something resembling a complete blueprint. If it was rushed, Lord have mercy on you. You'll spend a collective total of at least a week walking back and forth with engineering to find out a third of the parts you need aren't even on the print, haven't been purchased, or cut yet.
Jobs orders are consistently underbid, and most builds hit the floor two weeks late, with the expectation that labor can make up the time and nothing will ever go wrong. Rework due to incomplete blueprints seems an inconceivable notion; all errors are obviously labor's fault. Don't expect much for communication, either. Sales, stock room, engineering, and management all have their own systems, the systems don't talk to each other, so the best way to find out what's actually going on is shop gossip - and some department (like paint) almost always has more details about what you're working on than you do.
Pros
Tool replacement, overtime
Cons
Health insurance is a joke.
