Restaurant Manager (Current Employee) - Santa Clara, CA - January 14, 2023
Featured review
The Cheesecake Factory selected this as a representative reviewGreat job great benefits very lovely environment to work in can be stressful at times especially the weekends people were nice food was great if you like overtime this is the place for you there's plenty of hours to go around management needs work not a very good work life balance clean location overall great place to meet new people they're always hiring food runners servers cooks prep cooks to go specialist bar tenders etc... It is a very rewarding place to work you will feel well accomplished and it is a great place to get a workout forget the gym you will be going home feeling sore the first couple of weeks definitely need some good durable long lasting shoes to wear they also have a great extensive training program for all of their employees so be prepared to learn a lot because they have one of the most interesting menu I've ever seen

Fun workplace

Great place to work. Management is terrible. The job and money are great but the management makes you not want to work there. There's not one good manager. Every good manager that comes through ends up leaving

Good money in season, management requires improvement
Server (Current Employee) - West Palm Beach, FL - June 7, 2023
The management is working on an improving the conditions, but the kitchen needs better staffing and training. The service team needs more team work and better management. Training is rushed and done through online videos for the most part, if you have no serving experience I could see it being very difficult to understand. But if you are just looking to make a bit of money in a tolerable environment that’s not outwardly terrible this could work for you. But it is slow season so I would not recommend applying now.

Good Money
Server (Former Employee) - California - June 7, 2023
The money is good, it’s was always busy at my location. The whole being a great place to work is not always a real thing. GMs hire a lot of bad managers.

Fun workplace
Server (Former Employee) - Nassau County, NY - June 6, 2023
I was with the company for TEN YEARS. I quit because I had finished that chapter of my life. Even though that was over a year ago, I still think about going back for fun, it was a huge part of my life, a wonderfully chaotic experience. Working in a restaurant is not easy, but the people I worked with (1) made the workplace so much better. We laughed the entire shift but worked even harder. We are all friends still to this day, from Cheesecake to Wedding Cakes, we’ve all watch each other grow up together. Nothing like CC employees! THE BEST. (2) The benefits this company offers are GREAT- (3) The serving class is well conducted and not only are you learning but you get free food. TRY EVERYTHING, it’s a large menu and you should what you’re selling. CCF you have breaks and break rooms to chill out. The Cons, having full weekend availability is mandatory ( IN SOME LOCATIONS) and I personally don’t think that you should anyone should be over worked and not having a healthy work/ life balance. If I request off on a Sunday, my schedule shouldn’t be effected because I wanted to go to my cousins baby shower or have a wedding to attend. Everyone deserves to live their lives and shouldn’t have to be punished for it. Overall - it’s a great company to work for with great people and amazing benefits but you might not have so much of a social life.
Pros
Coworkers
Cons
Time off

The job is 100% not worth students please do not work here
Bakery (Former Employee) - San Diego, CA - June 6, 2023
This job was probably my worst job ever. The pay was 100% not worth it. I would work 8 hour shifts and my paychecks would come out to 350-450 dollars. The job is demanding servers are rude and impatient and you make 0 tip.
Pros
none
Cons
pay for your own food, compensation, demanding, draining, poor schedules and hours

Good place to work
Server (Former Employee) - Bay Shore, NY - June 5, 2023
It's not horrible when you're young and want to make quick cash. Some managers can be tricky to work with but thats everywhere. Good place to start a first job.

That's the main part. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Unsanitary in all aspects. That's all. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Poor Management but great money for the skill set and time spent working
Server (Current Employee) - Durham, NC - June 2, 2023
The management doesn't care about guest experience as much as they should, which at times is reflected in how much money you make when the kitchen is having a bad day or you happen to get an extra picky table. But the other wait staff is great, the company really does hire good people. And you can't beat the pay for the amount of hours you have to work.

harassment
Server (Former Employee) - Jersey City, NJ - June 1, 2023
For some reason a good amount of locations are known for sweeping messy stuff they do under the rug and this is one of them. They don’t protect their workers what so ever. And the pay is garbage

What is the best part of working at the company? Good place to be, but after that you’re on your own What is the most stressful part about working at the company? They hired anybody. For a place that’s really busy. I believe they should hired people that love what they do. Rather then to just fill up the space with bodies What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Very strong and beautiful. The company is very passionate What is a typical day like for you at the company? I love what I do, so I don’t believe everyone experiences will be like mine

Great pay and Fun place to work
Server (Current Employee) - Thousand Oaks, CA - May 31, 2023
The managers and employees are great to work with. Only reason I didn't put a five star is because sometimes the place can seem very unorganized. Some times being understaffed is absolutely stressful and everyone can seem to be lost.

Fun workplace
Server (Former Employee) - Walnut Creek, CA - May 26, 2023
It’s a lot of work but a lot of fun. I loved the nightlife vibe during my shifts, had a difficult time remembering the alcohol lists. Didn’t enjoy when we ran out of things or trying to track down and manager and have them comp an unhappy guest due to issues that were out of my control most of the time.
Pros
Discounts
Cons
Hard work at the end of shift
