The cleaning Authority is a great place to work if you love cleaning. Not only do you just clean but you interact with some clients and their animals and kids and you enjoy working for them.

long hours only for the good cleaners. hard to get a hold of cleaners once they are in the houses. no benefits at all and a lot of up and down. get looked down on for being sick or missing days due to sick family or kids.
Pros
great boss
Cons
no lunch breaks on really long days.

Team Leader (Current Employee) –  Newark, OHSeptember 17, 2018
You have freedom from having a boss right there behind you. You get a break after every house cleaned. No nights holidays or weekends. Paycheck every Friday and more work than you can imagine so your never hurting for hours.
Pros
Regular breaks
Cons
A lot of driving

You get to clean homes while working with someone else. Don't have to sit in an office all day.Only downfall is you have to drive your own vehicle. Mileage is paid for but no wear and tear.
Pros
Independent
Cons
Using your own vehicle

There are paid time off days.

Its not the company itself but the people that work there. When you put 30 plus women together its bound to be a lot of drama. Some of the people orking there shouldn't be there.

This was a good paying job until the new owner came in
Team Leader (Former Employee) –  Cedar Rapids, IAAugust 18, 2017
This job is a lot of work for very little compensation. You have to use your own car and you dont really get a whole lot in return. They want you to split tips with the entire staff.

Personally, i feel like they care about the company more than the employees. Just dont have a life outside of work and you'll love it

A Wonderful Job for the Time & Quality Concious
Team Member/Team Leader (Former Employee) –  Glenshaw, PAFebruary 7, 2017
A typical day at work consisted of retrieving equipment, keys, and assignment sheet for the day. A team leader and partner would load the car being used for that day and leave for the first assignment. Most jobs had requests for times, so time management was very important. The work was divided into two categories, wet and dry work. Wet work is all of the restrooms and kitchens. Dry work is any living spaces. The team leader would assign a category to both themselves and their partner, and check the quality of work in the entire house before leaving. I learned how to properly use and mix cleaning chemicals, as well as proper safety methods when using cleaning chemicals. This company has a cleaning routine that is expected to always be used, and has random inspectors check to ensure the routine is being implemented.

The management was friendly and willing to help, as well as understanding. At this location, a common complaint was favoritism and overworking certain individuals. Most days were very enjoyable and the employees were friendly with each other.

The hardest part of the job, for some, is conforming to time constraints while maintaining an exceptional level of quality. The most enjoyable part of the job was meeting interesting customers and making a real connection with them.

Easy job
Team Leader (Former Employee) –  Lakewood, COAugust 11, 2016
This is an extremely easy job but you will be pushed to get your houses done and pick up fellow employees slack. The way they do pay should be illegal so be prepared to be disappointed. Depending on your boss you get $10-13/hr ONLY while your clocked into the house all other time is "drive time" which is 6.50/hr and if your the one driving (they don't provide vehicles) you get $.25 a mile. This job can get real annoying real fast because of unreliable team mates. Also you have to get your own oil filter changes company does not compensate for that and you will rack up miles about 100 a week or more.
Pros
provides cleaning materials, easy work
Cons
unreliable workers, bad pay, no set hours, terrible communication, bad management

I have worked for two separate cleaning authorities. The first was awesome, the owner ran the company. Just him and the cleaning inspector. He was an amazing boss to work for, actually cared about your well being. The cleaning authority I work for now is awful! It is poorly managed, the manager gossips and is very unprofessional. I could go on and on. This would be a more enjoyable place to work if it was managed better. I would never recommend this specific office to anyone.
Pros
check every week.
Cons
no breaks, drive own car, poor management.

Pros
breaks in between houses
