When you layoff a staff member please keep in mind there are benefits that should be provided to staff with a great working record. For one, I was going to be fully vested and because I was laid off a few days before my date of vesting they didn't help me out to get fully vested. That was unfair because I was a hard working employee and was left with not vested benefits. Unfortunately, company was greedy and decided they didn't want to lay me off a few days later after discussing with HR. They just wanted to avoided letting me get vested. This was my only disappointment with the company. I would have understood it it was a few months later but it was only days. I felt it was a little unfair after pouring my heart and soul in this job. Learn to appreciate your staff and do whats best for the people that work for the company.
