No Job Security
MOS (Current Employee) –  Phoenix, AZSeptember 9, 2018
Promotions or career advancement is only available if you have a friend in management. Job security does not exist. Employee turnover is very high. Doctors are amazing, but management is a joke.
Pros
Doctors are amazing. Co-workers are friendly and job is not hard.
Cons
No discounts for employees. No job security. Expensive health insurance.

Terrible management
Medical scheduler/ Referral coordinator (Former Employee) –  Phoenix, AZAugust 6, 2018
After nearly three years, a new supervisor came in, and just started tormenting many employees. You ended up terrified going in every day. You will be used up and spit out like garbage. I was a top performer and it means absolutely nothing if management hates you. Beware of this place. For the sake of your health and sanity.

Front Desk Representative (Former Employee) –  Novi, MI 48374July 18, 2018
The most enjoyable part of the job is the people you work with, and the connections you make. Patients are wonderful as well as the environment and goal to help our patients.

The internal working of CORE could be improved. I enjoyed the people I worked with. I wish them the best. Many good people work for this Company and they are very good at what they do.

Profit driven company
Nurse (Current Employee) –  Phoenix, AZJuly 15, 2018
The Core Institute only exists to make the board of directors and their work friends rich. The only time they talk to employees is when they need to drive profits up by cutting benefits or increasing work load. The hospital has a mandatory 2 weekend a month overtime requirement. The pay is ok but if you want an annual raise you better suck up to the boss. There is no written review just your bosses opinion of who should get what raise. They really look at employees as cost benefit numbers not people.

Stressful and Poorly Run
Front Office Representative (Former Employee) –  Sun City West, AZJuly 12, 2018
This position is extremely stressful. Employees are very unhappy and dissatisfied. The management is driven solely by their own metrics and pay little attention to those employees below them, beyond squeezing every ounce of effort out of them they can muster. Employee feedback is discouraged. After sharing mutual employee frustrations in a group meeting, we were told by the manager that, "nobody is making you work here. If you don't like it, then you know where the door is."

Poor Culture and Hostile Environment
National EMR /Implementation Specialist (Former Employee) –  Phoenix, AZJuly 10, 2018
Leaders often threaten employee of job loss. Hours are long and strenuous with no appreciation. There is a constant fear that employees may lose their job. Providers are allowed to curse and yell at their support staff without any repercussions.

Needs a lot of work to be better then it is
Medical Assistant/Surgery Scheduler (Former Employee) –  Mesa, AZMay 14, 2018
Core don't follow there own policies. Hard workers suffer at this place, while slackers get everything due kissing up to the right people. A lot of gossip in the facilities and mistreatment from managers/ leads. If you are not a supervisor and above it does no good to complain, because Core only will do somethibg to fix a problem if your a supervisor or above. Over work staff, no lunches most the time, no organization, and workers never get time to make up work when they are pulled to help another doctor or department. If you want a high stress level job, not treated fairly and no team work then Core is for you. There's always problems at a job, but some are worse then others and Core is one of the worse. One of the problems is you never see the CEO or any higher management ever at any of the offsite clinics.
Pros
Can't think of any

Leadership, organization and overworked employees

Nice Place
Referral and Authorization Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Phoenix, AZMarch 6, 2018
Great place to work if You do not need to insure your family. Insurance is expensive. Most supervisors know the positions well because they try to hire within. I would still be there is it was not for the pricey health insurance.

productive & a fun place to work for
Patient Care Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Phoenix, AZDecember 4, 2017
It was very busy, a call center for an orthopedic practice. I learned working in a call center you get a lot of different calls where you have to know what your doing at all times in order to give the correct information. The most enjoyable part of the job was to be able to assist with providing the patient on the phone or the person calling the appointment that they need or provide excellent customer service.
