dockworker (Former Employee) –  Northlake, ILSeptember 3, 2012
a typical day at work is coming hopping on the forklift and going to the lunchroom and punch in then go to the docktower(central of operations) get an assignment from my superviosr which is unload or load a traliers. then get ready to load all cartge traliers for the morning shift divers. this is all from 2 am to 9am. when done go to luch and come back lunch is an hour not paid. from 10 am to 1pm or 2pm load traliers. all LTL (less than truck load) freight or TL( truck load) freight. then go home. management was okay some times no communation. co workers where awesome always helped when you needed it really frenidly. the hardest part of the day is loading all cartge freight making all the cut times to be on time. most enjoyable part is working with others and mostly working by my self
one hour lunch, good co workers
bad communation
