9+ hours per day
This was the worst interview process I have ever gone through. First, they give you a task that consists of coming up with some ideas for their expansion and development, and proposing those ideas to them and to a potential funder in writing. I went through the exercise with the awareness that they could keep and use my ideas even if I wouldn't be hired. If you advance to the next stage, which is a video interview, the HR person is sitting in a poorly-lit room and you can hardly see their face, which is very strange - and I have asked the person to turn on the light, but to no avail. Finally, the last stage consists of an invitation to spend the day there, so they can assign different tasks to you on the spot. They "assure" you that they are also doing this for you so you can evaluate them as well. However, you are supposed to submit two letters of recommendations BEFORE this final stage. So if you do not pass this stage or if you do not feel the place is the right fit for you, then you would have wasted your recommenders' time on nothing. In my entire professional life, I have never encountered this kind of interview process; it was off-putting and disrespectful.
