Awful
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) –  New York, NYJune 12, 2019
Management is the worst. Unless you are an executive you have no advantages in this company. If you are lucky and have a good Manager who wants you to succeed then you are in a bad way. HR is the pits, the absolute worst ever, particularly if you are a person of color they are not not helpful, again unless you are an executive at the company. No job security- they don’t care about how long you have been working there. Management will stab you in the back in a heartbeat.
Their vision statement is a joke - they don’t apply that to working with one another, and or providing a better working environment and culture.
CEO is a nice man but has no idea what is happening at the most basic environment in his company; after all he is only ever shown the good in fancy corporate presentations. Therefore is completely unaware of the real culture in the company cause everyone is on their best behavior or risk a write-up/termination if you anger/unset your boss.
Pros
Great benefits and insurance
Cons
Horrible management staff, a bunch of snakes in the grass. The pay rate is below market value.

If your in the “in crowd”
Consultant (Former Employee) –  New York, NYApril 29, 2019
Great please to work.
Sharp people at the top of careers.
As a consultant there where gaps in communication.
Senior management is lazy. Depending who you report to. It’s very political so watch your back. Smile in your face and stab you in the back.
Overall, cool place to work looks great on the resume and positions you on a platform if you decide to leave.

Global Director - Retail Design and Development (Current Employee) –  New York, NYApril 5, 2019
Estee Lauder has a fantastic portfolio of cosmetic brands that caters to any budget level. The work/life balance is great, not too many emails after the work hours and very talented mangers.

Highly recommend!

Anonymous (Former Employee) –  New York, NYMarch 28, 2019
This place is way too top heavy when it comes to decision making. You have to be able to work around people schedules rather than deliverables. Also way too many egos and HR practically does nothing to help resolve even though they verbally say they're working on the culture and long unproductive meetings. To be honest, I think it's the people they're hiring into management that continuously adds to the terrible culture.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

AREA SALES & EDUCTION MANAGER - AVEDA (Current Employee) –  New York, NYMarch 2, 2019
I can only speak for the Aveda division in Estee. The Aveda team id overworked. There is no focus on your work-life balance. The regionals are very political.. you will only move forward (and not far) unless your on their good list. Also, Job security is always a concern. With the state of the Aveda business, you never know what will happen.

If you are a contractor your job will not be safe
Executive receptionist (Current Employee) –  New York, NYFebruary 27, 2019
Contractors/consultants are treated as though they are disposable but eventually if they do want to bring you on full time you are treated like gold.
Overall great company (unless you're a consultant)

Working here has been fast paced, and a fun environment to learn the ins and outs of the e-commerce works, as it is ever changing and growing. Providing high customer service is what we strive for daily.

Director (Current Employee) –  New York, NYFebruary 5, 2019
ELC sadly became more about presenting than substance. It became more about perception and being part of the "click". Things slowly deteriorated once shareholders became the driving force of the company.

A Collaborative, Gratifying Learning Experience
Global Communication PR Apprentice (Former Employee) –  New York, NYJanuary 24, 2019
As a Global Communication PR Associate for The Estée Lauder Companies' brand Lab Series, I gained an extensive amount of knowledge and skill. I was able to assist with daily PR goals, such as reaching out to influencers and various outlets for product coverage, as well as take part in event organization. I was exposed to PR in a way that was very team-oriented. My superiors were helpful in explaining new concepts to me, as well as inclusive in all PR opportunities presented to the Lab Series team. I exercised a high level of independent work when carrying out tasks, such as social media management, event coordination, and market analyses.

Work life balance needs some work but the people are very smart and driven. Benefits are great but compensation is lower than others in the same industry.

ELC Always Changing
Director (Former Employee) –  New York, NYDecember 15, 2018
Estee Lauder has changed a lot over the past 5 years with the influx of upper management from other companies. Doing more with less became the norm and workplace culture was adversely affected. There were more opportunities to learn but less time due to workload.
Pros
Business stability
Cons
Focus always on the stock price going up.
