health care (Current Employee) – Palm Desert, CA – November 6, 2017
I still work here & I'll continue to work here. Everyone works well together & help each other, as a team! I don't know of anyone not pulling their weight. It is really fast paced, not for the lazy!! I'm proud of the job everyone does.
sometimes the hours aren't long enough to get the job done, often short staffed.
Assisted Living Caregiver (Current Employee) – Palm Desert, CA – August 8, 2018
Management expects staff to exceed company standards that they themselves do not even meet. Staff is spread out thin, considering that the residents they except do not meet the requirements to live there. The Independent side is more of a nursing facility and the Assistant Living side is more of a memory care facility. Management gossips about their staff and so no surprise that when a staff member comes to the with gossip they don't shut it down. They don't focus on the needs of the residents as much as they focus on those who lots of money and a voice. Staff that kisses butt are those who get recognize. They get upset when you use vacation time or call out even though you are legitimately sick or a family member is.
Working 4 days on two days off you end up short on a pay peiod
Payroll/Human Resource Director (Former Employee) – Palm Desert, CA – October 16, 2018
The carlotta is great at training staff and the onboarding program. They do not skip any steps, and have a tracking system for ongoing training the employees must complete. This is a great place to start your career as the company als believes in promoting from within.
Medication Technician and Caregiver - Full Time (Current Employee) – Palm Desert, CA – March 22, 2018
The hardest part of the job is watching the elderly be treated like a task or a job that needs to be checked off the to do list and not treated like people. The management does not allow the care staff to provide care, they expect us to do the bare minimum, but charge the residents for 5 star care.
