Not Your Typical Food Manufacturer
Plant Manager (Current Employee) –  Grand Rapids, MIMarch 14, 2018
Don't let the headline mislead you. If you have ever worked in food manufacturing (or manufacturing in general) you can expect a different experience at the GFB. Management and the company itself are making great strides in providing the most positive employment experience as they can. Whether it's through elected production team member panels, or team member "recess" where they are able to play basketball with the owner's, the GFB is working towards being an employer of choice.

The job itself may be hard, but the nothing worth while is. As the company continues to grow, so do the opportunities and it feels the possibilities are endless.

Casual & Collaborative
Sales (Current Employee) –  Grand Rapids, MIMarch 2, 2018
The GFB hosts a relaxed, open minded and flexible work environment. Their welcoming atmosphere and laid-back employees can quickly calm any first day on the job jitters. Starting on day one, everyone was friendly, patient in the learning process and more than willing answer any questions. It’s refreshing to come across a positive quirky group of individuals – sense of humor included - that can cohesively work together.

A decent place to work but they have a lot to learn and they have zero organization.
Shift Supervisor (Current Employee) –  Grand Rapids, MISeptember 27, 2017
This place is exactly how to not run a company. They have all their priorities in the wrong place. They really only care about numbers and quotas. Safety and quality is abysmal, almost every day there is a new problem because one of these things are neglected.

Horrible Upper Management
Worker (Former Employee) –  Grand Rapids, MIAugust 3, 2017
Working here was one of my biggest mistakes. Management does not treat people equally or fairly. Your opinions do not matter. They say one thing and do another. They do not appreciate employees even though they say they do their actions and words prove otherwise. They make promises they dont keep. 10/10 do NOT recommend for your own sanity.

Aspiring company lacking support
Staff Member (Former Employee) –  Grand Rapids MiDecember 30, 2016
Would not recommend employment with this company. Several good leaders have left this company for various reasons while contributing to the success and growth. Opinions and ideas are not valued or listened to. Sensitive issues are handled poorly and with no respect to team members.
