I was a bartender. Low pay! Bartenders set-up the bar, push the bar to its location, pull the heavy glasses, pull liquor, pull beer , set-up beer cart/ ice cart, pull all mixers and pops. At the end of the night liquor count and put everything away that you originally pulled, wipe down bar, put bar away. THE BARBACKS DO NOTHING but stand around and chat amongst each other. The bartenders do it all!!!!!!!!! Worst of all NO TIP JARS! It has to be hidden where no one can see it........ if you want the he!! worked out of you for tiny pay. Than this is place for you. I’m sure management gets a large amount of gratuity for all of your hard work.PLEASE DO NOT WORK HERE! Poor management as well!!
The environment is friendly and cooperative. It's always enjoyable to be among positive people. The Henry Ford has a large number of dedicated volunteers. I'm grateful that I have the opportunity to work with them and to get paid for a job that so many would volunteer to do without pay.
