I would not take any one person's view. If you interview for a position, ask directly about the hours for the position for which you are applying and be honest about your availability so you do not end up in a role that isn't right for you. Every position is different based on the role.

I'm currently an off airport branch manager. I work between 40 and 50 hours a week. Monday - Friday 7am to between 4 and 530 (depending on rental forcast) alternating Saturdays (1-2/month). It really depends on your team and how you work together. I open (typically alone for the first 30min- hr) and my team closes.

Branch Managers work an average of 60-70hrs a week. Five 12 hr shifts, no lunch breaks plus weekends. Always short staffed with promise of hiring employees. BMs do all; clean cars, help customer at counter & on phone, delivers cars, transports customers, sales calls (in person) back office work (piles up), often alone with carrot dangle of getting staff only for the staff to replace them. High turnover/ all locations understaffed, beware you’ve been warn. Avoid for your health & sanity. Cars last longer than employee average (1.5yr avg.)

Hours here are great! It's kind of an on call position so make sure you're fairly free, and I work anywhere from 3-7 hours per shift. Not allowed more than 29 hours a week
