Evidently stores are not consistent. It would be professional if they gave you a response either way period. That has not been my experience with them.

I interviewed in March for a overnight Merchandising position. Within a week I got a call to meet a manager to initiate the background check and drug test. Can't remember how long it took but I received an email saying "Congratulations, we are preparing your start date. If you have any questions call or email so and so. After 24 hours sent an email and never got a response. Called the manager who did the background/ drug test and was told there was a freeze on the position. Ok it happens, she removed me from the position and I got an email for a part time merchandising position, Arrived for my interview and the found out the manager wasn't there due to car trouble, of course no one bothered to call me. I had to call the manager to reschedule, he never called me. When I went to the rescheduled interview he seemed surprised. Well having a completed drug and background didn't help because I never got the position. I turned down a few interviews, hoping for full time, bare in mind you will only get one interview request per a day. Finally, accept another part time job interview. Tod the manager what I had been through and asked him to make sure to remove me if not hired. After the interview he wanted me to talk to HR person about another background check and drug test but she was in a meeting so I had to come back that afternoon. Background check was still valid and possibly drug test because I got the same congratulations email as before. Now I got the feeling that they were still interviewing and I might not have the job so I waited. After three weeks I left the HR person a message and never heard back. After another week I called corporate HR and they said it looked like I might have the job and offered to reach out to the store. He agreed to call me if I had the position or remove me so I could get another interview. Well a couple days later I got an email for another interview. I turned down one and on Wednesday accepted another, set for Tuesday. On Thursday i get a call from the store saying the position was filled. Had to wait until after the interview date before I got another interview request (guessing they don't want corporate to know they didn't complete interviews). Got another interview email on Thursday and set the interview for Monday morning. Arrived for the interview and no one there had me on their schedule. Left my name and number and never heard back. After four months I am at the end of my rope!
