Customer service (skills and appreciation of your customers) is something you are definitely given the opportunity to hone in on. Additionally, sales techniques, understanding of store, district, and region goals and efforts to reach those goals are developed over time. Speciality departments require at least 6 months of training and experience for an associate to feel confident and in-control. Customer quote follow-up is a daily requirement, as is taking incoming calls, solving cust. issues, and selling orders which have been quoted. Lots of valuable experience and the pay is fair.
