This is the absolute worst place ever to work at and hr is a joke
Picker/Packer (Former Employee) –  Shepherdsville, KYApril 14, 2019
This place is full of nothing but favoritism, this place is boring and never really has enough work, very unorganized, leads there are to worried about causing drama instead of doing their job. Pay sucks the whole place sucks with dumb rules some leads expect everything to be a one way street their way or no way when it comes to music and a lot of other things. They have leads there that have had many complaints and absolutely nothing has been done what happens at home and outside of work should be your business but when someone sees you get in a car with another employee a lead should not talk about y’all being in a relationship and stop you from being able to work.
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Everything about that place especially one certain lead

Management use there position to get dates. If you can't keep up with who's sleeping with who you may lose your job. When you have to dispute something with hr and they sucking off the manager it doesn't turn out well.

Manager (Current Employee) –  Salt Lake City, UTJanuary 15, 2019
THG, or The Hut Group, is a company you want to avoid. The culture is toxic with little respect towards most employees. Massive and uncontrollable employee turnover, on both sides of the pond. Low pay. Critical management. Micro management from the top. Very little trust; lots of promises with little follow through. Very poor communication from the top. Parts of the business suffer due to poor people management, inexperience, and low pay.
Pros
General benefits in the US are good.

Social Media Buyer (Current Employee) –  Lindon, UTDecember 20, 2018
THG is a terrible place to work. In fact it's a great place to learn about e-commerce and marketing. The opportunities for growth and learning are pretty amazing. However, the drawback is the lack of attention towards employees. Work culture is pretty depressing. They emphasize loyalty and hard work but offer little loyalty in return. For example, our entire office of 50 people got laid off all in the name of corporate downsizing (the drawback of being hyper growth focused). The reality is that THG has a lot of potential and a good side too. I just wish they had a greater focus on keeping their employees happy.
Pros
Growth.
Cons

Warehouse Night Operations (Current Employee) –  Shepherdsville, KYNovember 30, 2018
In this environment you will learn the basic skills necessary for warehouse operations. The environment is laid back but the pace is fair enough to keep you busy. Medical benefits are amazing one of the best i have ever had, for the amount of work you are expected to perform!

Production (Former Employee) –  Shepherdsville, KYNovember 16, 2018
If you’re in production than it’s an easy job but very boring. Lots of rules to follow. Quality is very rude and you basically are at their mercy on a daily basis. If they don’t like you then you will not advance to any other jobs. If you do want to advance with this company than it’s basically required that you find things that others are doing wrong and tell on them and you must also be a brown noser. People get fired from here on a weekly basis. They don’t care if you work as hard as you can and never call in they will fire you for the smallest of mistakes. Production is a small group probably 30 people. They probably fired 20 people in the year that I worked there and at least 10 quit after a short time of being there. Turnover rate is very high and the ware house is even worse.
Pros
Temp controlled
Cons
high turnover rate, no job security

Packer/Shipper/Picker (Current Employee) –  Shepherdsville, KYOctober 22, 2018
I loved working at The Hut Group until other jobs became available..They were not fairly sought out. Management had their favorites, less experienced and Less time at company than others who applied and never even got interviewed. Favorites weren't made to work like others. If you weren't liked, they would find reasons to end your employment.
Pros
Easy work, good benefits
Cons
Favoritism, unfair job advancement, unprofessional management, inexperienced management

If you like hard rock music with foul lyrics so loud you can feel it bouncing off your skin and a completely non professional and hostile atmosphere
Picker/Packer (Former Employee) –  Shepherdsville KySeptember 18, 2018
I have 20+ years in this industry and have NEVER seen anything like the way this business is run. The foul language and disregard for a hard worker because of their lack of willingness to be bombarded with non stop extremely loud music is beyond comprehendable. It is not a normal work environment and reward popularity not hard worl. If you complain about the music they will punish you by forcing you to work right beside the speakers.

Packer/Picker (Former Employee) –  shepherdvilleAugust 9, 2018
I worked at the hut group since it opened in august 2016. I worked on 1st shift. The managers play favorites and if your not on that list then it is not a good place to work. coworkers are nice and friendly for the most part. i was a packer and managers are constantly on you if you don't hit rate with write ups or termination. this company is very cheap and run out of supplies on a daily basis such as certain box sizes etc. leads are always watching and trying to go snitch on you for anything. i was terminated for telling my manager that my lead was always on my back and what i thought of them. i am very glad to not be working there anymore and know that there are much better places to work.

Food Production Worker/Machine Operator/Forklift (Former Employee) –  Shepherdsville, KYJuly 1, 2018
I worked here at the hut group since they opened up. I worked in production. Management plays favouritism. Co-workers will throw you under the bus every chance they get due to no advancement opportunities. QA is your boss, not production supervisor. QA makes up rules as they go that you get in trouble for. All they hire is people from Publishers Printing Company.

Worse place I have ever worked. Management is terrible and you do not even have basic supplies to do your job. UK based company that doesn’t understand how US business works. Management is all friends of Vp and run terrible and you can get away with anything if you are in with them if not they force you out.

Dispatch employee (Former Employee) –  Shepherdsville, KYMay 11, 2018
you have lazy people that work there, very diverse group of people. No respect for others, a lot of vulgar language, long 10 hour days, breaks every couple of hours. Pay sucks, weekly pay. If your single the company will pay 100% but you have to be a full time employee to get that benefit.
Pros
discounts on nutritional products thru supervisor
Cons
pay
