Poor management, good tips
The bar manager was a nightmare to work for - he has lack of respect for agreed upon hours (supposed to work 4 days per week, scheduled often 6 days per week), doesn’t consider employees time (no cuts for servers on very slow nights), lack of training for job advancement/development, little reward for good work ethic, and no discipline for those with poor work ethic. It was a great opportunity to make money but not worth the stress and feeling undervalued.
Good tips, hotel discounts
Constantly short staffed, very strict and gendered appearance standards, poor management, poor communication, not a team environment
