Awesome place to work with fun atmosphere
Enrollment Manager (Current Employee) –  Louisville, KYJune 27, 2018
I enjoyed working at TLH. The people are caring. Management is fun. The people really care about their jobs and about the students they are helping. Pay isn't great, but once it goes up (if it does), it's a great job!

I would not recommend to a friend
Online Advisor (Former Employee) –  Louisville, KYApril 11, 2018
You are expected to do 80 hours worth of work in 40 hours. Half of the days I am there I barely have time to use the bathroom. The workflow and office is setup more like a call center and not an advising office. If you accept this job there will be weeks you will need to make 400 calls on top of the other required work.
Pros
coworkers
Cons
little advancement, poor training, and low pay

Poor Management
Multiple Positions (Former Employee) –  Louisville, KYApril 4, 2018
I want to give a good review as I met many wonderful coworkers there. But I had terrible experiences with the management team. Poor communication about job responsibilities and what's expected. Work loads varied drastically between different team members and departments. There's a large sense of disconnect between departments, as well as management with their employees. The HR department is mostly non responsive and when they do respond, it's vague and fluffed, while advertising that they're there to listen. It was an exhausting experience with a strong sense of politics. Some departments function very well as a team. Yet some just fail miserably.
Pros
Location
Cons

Enrollment Counselor (Former Employee) –  Fourth Street LiveJanuary 22, 2018
You will receive very little training and are expected to perform from the moment you start. Management are staffed by inexperience 20 year olds. My manager never helped me and then I was fired for no reason. I had only work there 5 weeks.
Pros
Nice people, Fourth Street Live
Cons
Inexperienced childish management

You can do better than TLH
Enrollment Counselor (Former Employee) –  Louisville, KYDecember 24, 2017
I worked at The Learning House for a little less then five months. The Enrollment department has a "churn and burn" method. They will always be hiring because very little training and leadership is provided by management to new employees. My advice to anyone considering interviewing for an Enrollment Counselor position...Do yourself a favor...Don't...you can do so much better than this place.

its a good environment for children and their learning experience and they have a real flexible schedule for you if you go to school AND they also try and provide childcare as well for you if u are qualified. they start of as substitute position and slowly turn into permanent positions.

Enrollment Manager (Former Employee) –  Louisville, KYSeptember 20, 2017
Mostly great people to work with; upper management provided no direction or clear expectations of jobs. My department operated on a fear culture and did not provide any structure or adequate training.

The enrollment department has incredibly high turnover due to unrealistic expectations of employees. Total lack of management. Promotions are given not based on merit, but politics.

LINAK has a true open door policy with many opportunities to travel, learn more and improve your career. Never have I felt closed off by management or unable to truly say what I believe.

not recommended. I do not recommend this company. The co-workers are great but the management is not. Started out great then was wrongfully terminated. Human Resources did not help at all and the President of the company did not respond when employees reached out for assistance.

Do Not Apply, it's not worth the stress
Enrollment Counselor (Former Employee) –  Louisville, KYJanuary 25, 2017
You will be micromanaged, managers show favortistim towards others and it's obvious. Some people are under payed with no explanation while others are payed as managers even though they aren't. minority is treated as outsiders making the work culture geared towards one type of race. HR is no help when trying to solve the issues. The turnover rate is extremely high because this place is not the place you wanna spend a 9-5pm.
Pros
Downtown area near food.
Cons
Management, Pay, work culture

Everyone is extremely "nice". Too nice if you ask me. People who aren't qualified get promoted since promotions aren't based on merit. There are individuals in leadership roles that do not know how to lead or train properly. The benefits are horrible, prepare to get a bill in the mail from the doctor.
Pros
Easy job

This did not have any face to face interactions with students and was all driven via email and phone calls.
This is set up much like a call center.
