Cashier in Greensboro, NC
It was a fun place to work. Staff and management was always very nice. You got to learn about the products of the store and speak with the manufacturers to find out more. You also received discounts on products for working there
Associate and Team Lead in High Point, NC
I used to work at Panera and I decided to make a move to customer service out of the foodservice industry. Let me tell you this is a GREAT first job or transitional job. You are paid your work's worth and management is easy to talk to and express concerns. You typically learn about dog and cat nutrition during the first two weeks of training and you always learn something new every day. I highly recommend anyone wanting a low-stress job to start looking here.
Cashier in Winston-Salem, NC
Dangerous work environment including workers/managers not wearing masks during Corona Virus Pandemic, a customer brandishing a GUN in the store and handing it to a cashier. Instead of communicating this to Upper Management or dealing with the issue the MOD simply told us to never speak about it again. Also, the police being called due to an unrelated event involving people using fake money to make purchases. Not to mention the amount of food that was rotting on the shelves and in the back. The amount of times I saw bugs in food or had someone return something because it was sold to them expired makes me afraid to purchase dog food from chain stores anymore. This place will chew you up and spit you out. Management doesn't care, your best bet is joining their clique, because the CEO's are just as bad. Good luck to this business.
Assistant Manager in High Point, NC
I was overworked and underpaid. As an Assistant Manager they had me running the store by myself for over a month without a Manager and told me it was "Training" for a promotion. I will NEVER recommend someone to work for this company. The CEO and COO don't care about their employees, only dollar signs. This company could be such a fun place to work but the owners have made it impossible.
Sales Associate/Cashier/Customer Service in Winston-Salem, NC
The Natural Dog had been a fantastic experience. Overall, I have enjoyed working at the store as I have learned many necessary skills that will allow me to excel in the future. Also, being a high school student, the hours were flexible enough for me to also pursue other extra curricular activities. For example, I have learned customer service, dealing with management, dealing and cooperating with fellow employees. It is a great store with a great team. The most enjoyable part of the job, is helping a customer find the right food for their pets. Many, like myself, before I began working at the store do not understand the complexity of choosing the right food for their pets. Once the right food has been found however, it makes all the difference.
