The most stressful part of the job is knowing that there is no real plan for equipment. Everyone in the maintenance team knows they are going to work each and every holiday because leadership is not willing to put in the work to work smarter, and not harder. But this is proof of promotion by attrition. Why cant work be done during regular weekends and planned out in months or years in advance? Emergency issues are understandable, but every weekend is not an emergency. Why is it that each holiday is taken away from the maintenance team (every holiday) and their families? Where is the balance of work and home life? The inconsiderate management is off every weekend on salary and they enjoy each and every weekend. This year alone and through the current month, the maintenance team has only had one two day weekend off to enjoy with family; JUST ONE TWO DAY WEEKEND in 12 weekends this year. last year the maintenance department @ NBTY the team worked 42 weekends out of the 52 total. Go figure!!!
