NEW Dermatology is an exciting, fast-paced place to work. My experience is that people who are ambitious and willing to take on new challenges do extremely well, and people who just want to punch in & out while exerting as little effort as possible in between typically don't last long. An excellent opportunity for the right kind of person.

Not a lot of room to advance, management is all over the place. Changes not well thought out. Policies and procedures not existent or made up as you go.

I have worked with this company for a little over a year and the time has just flown by. The owner/Doctor I work for offers great benefits for a smaller company and is always looking for ways to help us as employees out. They are VERY understanding of family emergencies and help as much as they can when covering shifts if need be. Our Patients enjoy and appreciate their experience at our clinic and never feel rushed like at some other Dermatology clinics.

In my interview I was asked how I felt & delt with work place drama. I figured it couldn't be any worse than other places I have worked, so I answered how I always answer. She kept on bring it up through out the interview, I should have taken that as a red flag. I feel I can handle a decent amount of drama but this was ridiculous. Every day I came in it was constantly someone talking about someone else in a negative way. To top it off employees would talk about things related to patients or co workers, again in a negative way, with in hearing distance to patients. No one seems to take any accountability for anything it was always someone elses fault or issue. They have two departments (Patient Service Representatives & Concierge/Call center) these two departments handle most of the patients info & requests, I found them both, more often then not, to not be on the same page when it comes to processing and obtaining information. Their training process is a joke (for someone who is fairly new to the field) with how much info you need to learn because you are dealing with a ton of insurance info & medical terminology I feel it should be more in depth instead of just sitting with someone to shadow and given a binder with information. They do have a 90 day probation period, offer dental insurance, vision insurance & life insurance. Health coverage is through the Market Place & PTO is available after the 90 days. I would recommend if you have children & want to be there for them this is probably not the place to work as work life balance does not exist. I understand they have a business to run but they are not understanding when it comes to family emergencies. On the plus side the PA's are really nice & professional. Didn't get much interaction or see the doctor so can't give my experience with him.
