Wasted years here, would never recommend anyone work here. Not a good culture to be part of. Company values listed externally are not represented in reality.

I grew up with The New York Times. When I joined them, I joined a union. I was not accustomed to a union culture. It was great at times and not so much at others. I would not discourage anyone from pursuing a career there, I believe The New York Times is the greatest newspaper in existence.

loved working there and it was a joy to learn from the best but should have more younger reporters full time so that would be more fair to the readers and everyone

The company is transparent and careful with their strategy. The culture is very inclusive and diverse. Coworkers are all extremely talented and intelligent. TNYT has an important mission that is easy to rally behind.
