Full-time employees accrue 5 suck days a year. In Massachusettes PT accrue sick time per State law. As with many employers, if you are out 3 consecutive shifts a doctor's note is required releasing you back to work. Short term disability is paid for by the company for serious illnesses.
The company does give sick time based on length of time employed with them and after being out of work for three consecutive days a dr note is required to return to work.

If you are part time you have so sick leave. They are very strict when it comes to calling out. Calling out three days in a row, requires a doctors note. Full timers acculate sick time by working three days to equal one hour. Also, if you call out, they prefer you to get coverage beforehand and if not, they expect you to be there..
We just called out when we were sick .
