academic appointee (Former Employee) – Irvine, CA – August 28, 2018
the international student market bubble boomed in the early 2010s but the new administration in DC has made the U.S. a less desirable place to study. as a result, enrollment numbers are down. in order to protect the bottom line, many full time instructors had to be laid off with little or no severance. so much for faculty appreciation.
flexible schedule and great comaraderie among colleagues
univ and division admin do not care about employees. only $$
