Horrible job
Waitress (Former Employee) –  Shelburne, VTJuly 9, 2018
This job was horrible and what they made you wear was ridiculous. The pay was bad and the manager didn't really care for the employees. It was too much stress.

Go Ahead and Apply!
Staff (Current Employee) –  Shelburne, VTApril 12, 2018
This place use to be a good place to work until LCB took it over, now there is constant turn over in management-and they have no interest in getting to know their staff once there here, as well as constant turn over in caregivers, med techs and nurses. If you choose to work here be prepared to work 60 plus hour weeks, bc the wages aren’t high enough to live in VT on working 40 hrs a week. The Excutive director will claim that there is no heavy lifting in your interview, but be prepared to lift multiple 170 pound residents that should be using lifts, and multiple hoyer lifts. You will be exhausted by the end of your work week-but don’t call out (or get injured)!! As long as you show up you will always have a job (even if you do a very poor job while working). Hopefully you’ll make it long enough to collect your bonus. Good luck fellow job seekers!
Pros
Free lunch-editable occasionally, gift cards to hannafords

Baker/Prep (Former Employee) –  Shelburne, VTMarch 9, 2018
was an overall positive place to work, rarely had to be concerned about not getting full time hours and hours were never cut. People were willing to step in and give assistance when needed.
Pros
staff meals, benefits, full time

Don’t risk your LNA/Nursing license
Staff (Former Employee) –  Shelburne, VTFebruary 1, 2018
Management has their favorites. If you don’t suck up then beware! Nurses won’t speak directly to you to address a concern but will stab you in the back going to management. If you are not one of managements favorites then they wont listen to your side of the story and will immediately write you up. Nurses are passive aggressive and will find ways to make you look bad. They have their own agenda and will do whatever they can to put themselves on top and pass the blame to you. The work load is intense for nurses and you get no support. They set you up for failure versus success putting your license at risk. The turn around for staff is not good. I would never recommend this place as I would not want people to be treated as poorly as I was. I was sick going to work everyday and left with migraines almost daily. It is pure torture. Don’t do it.

LCB is a poor company to work for
Employee (Former Employee) –  Shelburne, VTJanuary 6, 2018
There are no pros to LCB (company that runs Shelburne Bay). Pay is poor. Constantly raising the residents prices to live there. The company is very Cult-like and untrustworthy. Their investors should take a closer look as to what is going on there.

Very friendly and nice place to work
Medication Technician (Former Employee) –  Shelburne, VTJune 15, 2017
I had the opportunity to become a medication technician here. Such a wonderful experience. I love how staff is able to have the time to truly take care of their residents and participate in activities with them such as bringing them for a walk outside or bringing all residents from your community out for lunch.
Pros
relaxed pace

biweekly pay
