Marriot - great benefits, thats all it has to offer

The Ritz in Marina Del Rey is so disorganized, communication from management is the worst I’ve witnessed, they make things so difficult. Most of the employees hate their job, and don’t really put in their fair share if duties, HR is not helpful either

Benefits are great! Customers are awesome

Cons

Poor management, communication, thins are never done on time, it’s a cut throat environment, everyone at the restaurants hate their jobs

Smoke and mirrors

If you are white or pretty you are golden. FOH is treated like royalty and BOH gets the scraps. Department leaders are disconnected and dismissive. HR is great unless they are at fault. 50/50 on this employer.

We give ideas and they are never take into consideration. We are the ones working with the guests. Incentives was taken away from the employees with no explanation at all since also 10 years now.

Can't grow, lunch is free but most the time is bad. shortage of uniforms.

Great for the "Yes" person

Although the management says "you're empowered" to make guests happy, when you do, you're interrogated for it.After covid they treated employees poorly especially if they were older than 30.

The respect for others, dishonesty, its no more for the employees even though the benefits are there. It's more all about money. However the way you treat your employees is to make money. All this starts with managers, who sit and do nothing, they only delegate and show no interest or example. I started in 1976 and over the years see great employees leave, now all there's the mediocre, uncaring employees.What is the work environment and culture like at the company?The don't care attitude. Good location and good money

Duo to the name you get people with high profile, money is good and location but managers lack experience and are always justifying the extra labor with “you are making money though” good co workers.
