12-13 hours at my depot. In at 9-9:15am, pretrip, set up truck, 9:45 sales meeting, leave at 10am. Last stop 8-8:30,depending on route and weather, 15-45 min drive back, post trip inspection, send sales, banking, load requests, drive to bank for deposit. Home 10-10:30pm.

Yes you get paid your daily "average" but need to make up with the day on the next Saturday. That trip is usually poor sales, due to being an off day, screwing up your weekly average, causing you to lose money.

I was lucky to have great local managers, but division and regional managers were aloof. Constant change in upper management resulted in conflicting priorities and lack of updated equipment and ability to to modernize thinking resulted in high turnover.

Downhill. Been losing money for years and the divisions holding them up were just sold to a Korean company. Any company that needs to knock on doors like an encyclopedia salesman to get new customers, drives around trucks with 200k miles on them, and has high turnover at the driver level is not going "uphill".

No cell phone allowance. The facility I worked at you were required to text sales in multiple times a day but they would not pay any of your cell bill but management got cell phone allowance.
