Lean Practitioner (Former Employee) – Delano, CA – May 15, 2018
Surrounded by knowledgeable, intelligent people I was excited to begin work. The pace was slow initially, but picked up and once things began it became increasingly hectic. The company is privately owned and remarkably un-bureaucratic despite its enormity. By far the most philanthropic of any organization I have ever been affiliated with. Amazing team building culture throughout the company.
Aviation Division, decent budget for travel expenses
way too much travel, time away from family, sporadic group firings
Manager of Philanthropy (Former Employee) – Los Angeles, CA – March 29, 2018
Management and work culture is poor, at best. The company offers incredible benefits, but it doesn't make up for the destructive leadership that exists. I would not recommend the company, unless you really want your whole life to revolve around work.
Inefficient, fear-stricken workplace with good people under poor management
Communications (Former Employee) – Los Angeles, CA – August 31, 2017
Priorities change with the whims of company's owner. Some departments operate in constant fear of company's owner yelling at them for minutes on end if they make a mistake or do not have an immediate answer for her. Management pushes for results no matter what it takes -- little concern for helping employees do their best work. Management says they value efficiency, and yet employees spend much effort and stress producing often-useless reports and plans for company's owners. Turnover rate around 50% on some communications teams. Many smart and friendly people to work with, despite high stress. Company's owner heavily involved in philanthropy, positive impact in central valley communities - points of pride.

The Wonderful Company has truly wonderful products to work with, and exciting projects to work on. They are fast-paced, philanthropic, and innovative. They offer great health benefits plan, amazing perks like free yoga at lunch and after work, and an awesome restaurant in the building called the Orchard.
Free yoga at lunch and after work, Wonderful Giving, free FIJI Water and snacks in kitchen, awesome Restaurant in the building
Things can change at the drop of a hat, so be prepared to be adaptable and flexible.
Completely underpaid for your knowledge, favoritism among managers
Ag Mechanic/Welder (Former Employee) – Shafter, CA – August 2, 2017
Overall the company has good benefits, but thats about the only pro. Management has their employees working with worn out/broken tools and rarely replaces them in order to stay under budget for thei own personal bonuses during quarters. Extremely underpaid employees settle for what they offer because they dont think they can get more. I pushed for a waived 2nd lunch under 12 hours because they convinced their employees any hours over 10 was a mandantory lunch .
Sanitation Lead (Former Employee) – Delano, CA – June 18, 2017
Overal pay is below the average around the area. Human resources will back up temporal employees but will not back up leads or management. You are pretty much stuck in the position that they hire you on unless you play favorites. Human resources always kept on losing my applications and they will lag to submit any apps or reach departament managers.
