My 1st interview (by office mgr) I was asked if I had any propane knowledge. I was asked if I could multi task & work in a fast paced. The rest was just regular conversation. 2nd interview with VP, CSR MGR they asked pretty much same as above, if I had any knowledge of the propane industry, if I could work in fast pace went over how busy it can be in winter. Was told the training would last atleaat a month (lies). Asked if I could pass a drug test. Then if I'm not mistaking asked bout previous job I had, did role play on how I would be as a customer serv rep on a call took a fake good call then a fake bad mad customer call. Then cut up and talked for a little while, made me feel like they cared but after being hired you realize they DON'T care.

They expect you to have all work completed before going home so your coming in 8am-5pm you are NOT allowed over time unless they tell you to work thru, otherwise if you go in early your not getting paid, if you stay late your not getting paid. Learned that the hard way.. Did a lot of hours on my own time I guess.

Winter being a 1 person office, not being able to talk to management bout issues without feeling you've done wrong(especially concerning yourself & needing help), getting no help from mgrs or other employees, constant drama & back stabbing from all employees to very high up managers to regular employee's. When you confide in management on personal issues the fact other employee's are told bout the issue. Having to work through lunch when asked knowingly your not even on the clock, not getting paid but getting hammered in the winter because only 1 person runs the office (which is wonderful in summer time).

Over all I think it took over a month or 2.. I did my 1st interview but was told I would hear something within a week but it was almost 3 weeks. After that i was told they would do my background then a week or 2 i got the call to do my drug test then bout another week or so I was told to come in to do paperwork & get familiar with the office. So yeah bout a month or 2 for me anyways.

Winter you've got to stay up bc it is truly busy in winter, Heck deliveries can be 2-4 weeks out sometimes if not longer. The office stays extremely busy & you only have 1 person to work office & be logged in to phones and take calls to. So very fast paced, summer not to busy but they give you reports to go like clean up of accounts, if they offer a lower pricing you'll call customers on that (if they offer it out), past due/collection calls which turned in to going thru a file & selecting people for corp to send late notices.

Show true appreciation for ALL the employees that make the money in YOUR pocket happen by compensating them fairly for what they are worth. Don’t just maybe say they’re appreciated as a whole. Make your employees WANT to continue to make your company succeed by making them know they are truly appreciated with financial reward, to feel like they will want to and be able to afford to retire from your company! Treat them like PEOPLE with FAMILIES with similar goals like your own.

Its hetic in the winter. Just corporate america. One person wears many hats from driver to salesman to ditch digger. Pay is good. But can be stressful.
