Contract Review Attorney (Former Employee) –  Eagan, MNAugust 7, 2018
Thompson Reuters is great for starting out and for building experience. The only downside is that they don’t pay very well compared to market rates. I would suggest anyone (especially attorneys) work here for the time you need to, gain valuable experience, take the free yoga classes, and eat the frozen yogurt. Then move on.

Excellent mobility if you know the right people
LEAD BUSINESS ANALYST (Current Employee) –  Carrollton, TXAugust 7, 2018
TR is a great place to work if you understand how to play the political game and want to be recognized based on who you know rather than the quality of your work product.

The work-life balance varies depending on the specific team, but can range from terrible to very balanced.

The pay is decent and the health benefits are exceptional.

Unfortunately, constant corporate restructuring causes too much chaos.
Pros
Health benefits, community outreach, global opportunities, tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance.
Cons
Work-life balance, poor upward mobility, out of touch management, frequent and mismanaged "HR" incidents.

Temp contract - Business Intelligence (Former Employee) –  Eagan, MNAugust 5, 2018
I had a great experience working here. The people care and want to do well as well as have healthy groups collaborating together. Regular tech days of learning and the use of Agile kept us moving forward.

ONESOURCE Solution Consultant (Current Employee) –  Hoboken, NJJuly 30, 2018
I would not recommend their sales group due to the climate. There are multiple factors but overall the sales strategy and investment in the IT group (product development) is lacking or strayed
Pros
Salary
Cons
Climate, pressure, direction

This is an awesome company to work or intern for. They keep you relaxed and comfortable while you work. They have stress relief programs during the day that you can attend and they make sure you have time for work and home life. The culture is the best part. They embrace the sense of culture. They are Awesome!

Billing/Client Administration Manager (Former Employee) –  Los Angeles, CAJuly 16, 2018
Senior management gives you a lot of leniency in structuring your team and lets you do your job without micro management. I got the opportunity to learn and travel and manage teams in different offices.
Pros
Company Culture
Cons
Frequent Restructuring

Nice life/work balance, but no training
Tax Analyst (Current Employee) –  Carrollton, TXJuly 16, 2018
Some departments allow work remotely.
Management doesn't promote training and additional skill building.
The work culture is fun.
Not enough tenure and career building.

Great culture, but upper management can be snobbish
Attorney Editor (Former Employee) –  Eagan, MNJuly 16, 2018
The supervisors were great to work with, but upper management was a bit snobbish and somewhat unapproachable. There is free lunch or snacks on Friday. That's all I have to say about that.
Pros
Free lunches and co-workers
Cons
Upper-management and not many advancement opportunities

Successful career if you don't need work/life balance
Director (Former Employee) –  Eagan, MNJuly 14, 2018
TR, like many organizations of this size, waste a lot of resources (human and financial) on reorgs to align with an ever changing vision/strategy. If you're focused on your career objectives and impervious to a chaotic environment that requires 50+ hrs/wk to keep your head above water, Thomson Reuters can be an important step in your career progression.

Good workplace environment. Somewhat corporate-like environment. On-site food court with several options. In my specific department, remote work was allowed if performance metrics were met.
